I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I must say that my overall experience was excellent. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly and made me feel welcome. The service was attentive without being intrusive—our server checked on us at just the right times and was knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful recommendations.

The food itself was outstanding. Every dish we tried was prepared with fresh ingredients, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The portions were generous without compromising quality, and it was clear that a lot of care went into both the cooking and the plating. I especially appreciated the balance of seasoning and the creativity in combining traditional and modern touches.

Hygiene and cleanliness are also very important to me when dining out, and this restaurant definitely delivered in that area as well. The dining area was spotless, the tables were properly sanitized before we sat down, and even the restrooms were kept clean and well-stocked. Seeing this level of care in hygiene gave me confidence and comfort while enjoying my meal.

Overall, this restaurant truly stands out for its combination of excellent service, delicious food, and top-notch cleanliness. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience, and I will definitely be...

I visited this restaurant on the night of March 28th, 2025, during Ramadan around 12:42 AM with three friends — two American women and a Moroccan friend. We had falafel, shawarma, and waraq inab. The food was average, and at the time, I believe they were using the “Abou Tayssir” menu due to some kind of partnership.

While our first visit went fine, the experience turned sour the next day when the two American girls returned to dine there alone. One of the workers told them: “I don’t want you sitting with other boys,” referring to me and my Moroccan friend from the night before. Then when they were about to pay, he said, “If it wasn’t Ramadan and I wasn’t tired, I would give you a better souvenir before you leave. Stay for more days.” These remarks made my guests extremely uncomfortable and were completely inappropriate.

When I returned from my trip on April 6th, I went directly to the restaurant to speak with the owner. I calmly explained what happened and showed proof. Unfortunately, instead of taking the complaint seriously, he told me not to “raise my hand” (even though I wasn’t being aggressive at all) and accused me of lying.

I came in good faith to address a serious situation, not to be dismissed or disrespected. It’s disappointing to see a restaurant handle such...

Owner was very friendly when I was here, until he started making unfounded suggestive comments towards me. These comments had a sexual undertone, “I don’t want you sitting with other boys” and “If it was not Ramadan and I wasn’t so busy/tired I would give you a better souvenir before you leave. Stay a few more days.” among other comments. As a female tourist with one other female I did not feel comfortable. We did not confront him due to wanting to stay away from the restaurant since we were uneasy after the comments. When he was confronted about these issues from a Tangier local that I know he strongly denied these claims and said they are lies. Just be wary here if you’re a...

I have just had the best meal I have ever had in Tangier. The host Daabya is American - Iraqi and of course speaks perfect English. He is a very nice fellow as well as an expansive and accommodating host. I can thoroughly recommend everything I tried on the menu; the hummus plate with a little salad and flatbread, while simple, was superb. It's a simple thing of course but so many get it wrong. The Burek are like miniature Cornish pasties and super tasty Congratulations for such High standards and something just that little bit different.
