Ok! If you are super hungry and NEED food right away, this is NOT the place for you.
There is one or two servers at best and they are 2 people in the kitchen.
I totally love this place, I went here 4 times, my travel partner did not like this place.
It is slow, slow because they are trying to do their best.
The orders are not written down and sometimes they forget your order.
The first time I went there I wanted a Moroccan salad, they did not have it so they served me a side salad.
See photos. The tajine, all of them were good. I love the one with the beef.
They have a dish that you have to preorder a day earlier and I always forgot to do it. It is at the bottom of the menu, try it but that means you have to order 1 day earlier.
The food was good, they serve slow but with love. The 2 old men playing music, love them both.
I will go back again.
That side salad, they charged me for side salad, they do not overcharge, if you have a concern just point it out.
The two young owners at the register were so cool, their recommendations were spot on.
Sitting outside is fun until the people next to you start smoking
Last meal there, we found two olive pits in the bottom of our olive container. My travel Partner says that this was a used container and those were pits from somebody who ate olives and put the pits back in the container.
I asked the owner, she said that the pits were from the olive container, some olives come off the pit.
I know that it is a custom that they use left over bread and add more bread and serve that bread to the next customer.
I feel that the olive pits were used discarded pits as well. I believe and agree with my travel partner.
Will I go back? Yes.
Will I eat...
Read moreJAN 2023 Extremely disappointing ! This is a tourist's trap .. As a moroccan I'm very familiar with our traditional cuisine and what we experienced at this restaurant is nothing like MOROCCAN CUISINE or MOROCCAN PEOPLE .. We waited for at least 45 min till we ate, the server kept going back to the kitchen to check if the dishes were available, and very few dishes were. and she kept messing up our orders. It lasted 2 hours and we left still hungry. When it came to paying, the tourists couple that were sitting next to us discovered that they charged them double for what they ordered!! THE TAJINES: Every component is cooked seperately , the vegetables are BOILED ! and the meat is cooked in a pot with lots of orange DYE no not curcumin but fake orange coloring . All this was dumped on a cold tajine that lacked spices and taste. We ordered one with vegetables (That were half cooked, we didn't eat it we returned it and still payed) and one with prunes (our fingers were badly stained and it was difficult to get rid of the color) THE COUSCOUS : Same story .. No taste at all and the sauce was alarmingly orange. THE MOROCCAN SALADS : No taste at all ...the beans were still raw The CHICKEN PASTILLA : Not enough chicken , a tiny amount of almonds.. Nothing like the true chicken pastilla ..it was mainly just eggs and cinnamon. To conclude, I urge the owners to rethink their strategies because this reflects a bad image of...
Read moreWas shown to a table straight away - from there, it was all down hill. The waiter eventually presented us with a menu and a little later came back with bread and some olives and retrieved the menu to give to another table. We waited for our order to be taken. More customers ( three parties of two) arrived and were quickly served and had their orders taken. In the meantime he came back with drinks we had not ordered, we were still trying to do just that. A little later he came with some food that was for another table ( and only half their order). Finally got his attention after over half an hour and told him we wanted to order, to which he responded that we had and it would be a while. We responded by explaining that, no we hadn't ordered, to which he insisted we had. Told him to forget it and left. Have never had such incompetent service in...
