Maison d'hôtes & Restaurant Nouflla — Restaurant in caïdat de Amerzgane

I've been in Morocco for over a week and almost all restaurants have provided excellent food and service. But the very unpleasant experience I had at this place made me feel compelled to write this review.

I stopped by for lunch. This diner mostly serves set meals. The chicken tagine set was out of stock, so we got the chicken with pasta, and the chicken skewers with rice set.

The pasta and rice were mushy. Rice was cold. The chicken was tough and rubbery and didn't taste good, for both dishes.

The place was swarming with flies, and the other groups of diners there were frantically trying to swat them away too. We were not able to have our meal in peace.

Worse still, when we politely shared our feedback with the manager, he made some very rude comments and insisted that "everyone" likes the food there. A professional eatery would have accepted the feedback graciously. All in all, a very...

Our tour guide brought us to this place for lunch and the service was very bad where we had to wait for 30 minutes just for the glasses to be served let alone our food and drinks. Other than that the food was left under the sun for the flies which was very unappetizing, lastly when the bill came they charged us an extra 200 MAD and when we confronted them they had the audacity to come back and question us which led us to believe that they were actually intentionally doing it as to earn extra money from tourists. Bad place, average food, bad atmosphere along with bad service, not sure how many tourists were cheated...

Our visit to this restaurant was quite pricey. It was selected by our guide, possibly for its lovely view—or perhaps for its steep prices. A set menu featuring kofte tagine, salad, and soup cost 100 MAD, while the juices were more reasonably priced at around 20 MAD each. Unfortunately, the food itself was disappointing. One fellow guest ordered chicken skewers but ended up giving them to a cat, which says a lot about the taste.
