Assouan أسوان — Restaurant in Fez

First i would like to say that the manager here is extremely attentive and welcoming, however i have few remarks on the food and service. I ordered the tagliatelle and it wasn’t pasta it was a soup the pasta was extremely overcooked and the sauce was tasteless. I recommend going for the pastries with cafe or tea. Second thing is the mango juice It wasn’t natural mango juice it was valencia’s mango juice the store bought brand. The service could be improven especially at the bakery section one of the girls lied to me in my face. It was 10 pm i asked her if les sablés were still available she looked at me straight in the face and said no. I looked and they were right behind her when I confronted her she said how much do you want rudely. Anyways it’s a nice place but a lot of work is...

I visited Assouan Café today and ordered a double espresso, expecting a strong, bold coffee. Unfortunately, what I received was far from it—the coffee was incredibly light, almost watery. As someone who drinks 3-4 coffees a day, I know what a proper espresso should taste like, and this was not it.

When I brought it up with the person who prepared it, they immediately shifted the blame, claiming it was someone else who made it. Classic. No accountability from either the person behind the till or the waiter. It’s never their fault, apparently! It felt like they were just looking for an easy way to take advantage of customers. Very disappointing experience. I expected much better.

Shame on the staff for their poor service and lack of responsibility. Not a place I’ll be visiting again...

I went to have dinner with my family as usual, we ordered pizzas and seafood salads like we always do but after waiting for an hour and a half and finally having our food at the table we noticed that the shrimps were in such a bad state making my mouth ache and leaving an awful taste in my mouth. When we complained about it they didn’t want to colaborate and told us they were in good state even though it was obvious it wasn’t the case. After a long discussion where i was having headaches they still made me pay for the two salads we didn’t eat. Bad sports from Assouan and their team, NEVER COMING...
