We booked a Marrakesh tour with a tour company and they took us to this restaurant for lunch (we had to pay for our lunch). They only gave us a fixed menu which included a choice between a salad and soup, a main dish, a plate of seasonal fruits, and tea with cookies. We had Tazlaft (lemon chicken tagine for main dish and soup) and Ouarzazate (chicken couscous for main dish and salad). The taste of the food was good but 1 fixed menu is a lot for 1 person. I would have preferred a menu with separate options for main dish, starters, etc. They accept credit cards with some extra fee. The prices of the dishes were on the higher side.

Loved this place for a nice lunch. The terrace on the very top is so lovely and shaded even when it's very hot out. The prices are reasonable, and the service was great. The Chicken and lemon tagine was great, and the chicken pastilla was also really good. I was so hungry after walking around all afternoon, and when we left I was stuffed. The fruit for after dinner was such a lovely touch, and it was even presented in a pretty way. The bread and olives were so good too! 150 to 200 MAD per person. In fact, I'm going there for dinner tonight too!

Food was seasoned well but if you are a meat lover you will still feel slightly hungry when finished. Waiter was doing too much and spreading self thin, so he was not attentive. There were their waiters available, but when they tried to help us, he was fussy. He was bouncing all over the place and didn’t want help. He asked us where were we from and we stated from the US, but he didn’t believe that’s where we were originally from and was like not from Africa? Definitely felt some type of way

I'm very conflicted about this review. I really wanted to have a great experience, but was let down in the end. We were a party of three. Let me just say, this place is definitely a tourist trap. Considering that there are many cheaper tourist traps to be caught in for food in Marrakech, this one can certainly be skipped. Two of my party ordered the Kefta dish. Both were so inconsistent, but were dried out, sauceless, practically burnt, and barely had any meat to rationalize the 150 MAD charged. This place seems to try to rationalize the cost by offering sample salad plates, as well as semi-rotten fruits. These fruits are seldom eaten by diners and are then simply tossed onto another plate and passed on to other guests (I did see this with my own eyes). They also had some of the worst tea I have had in Morocco. Again I witnessed them tossing the refuse of unused tea from other tables into pots to serve to other guests. My table received one such and it was disgusting. The service received was also lacking. Only thing left to have done was yell for some attention, even when it seemed they had forgotten items from our order. One of the workers came upstairs to take his shoes off, recline on one of the longer benches and proceeded to watch videos on his phone right behind us. He didn't even budge when we tried to get his attention to ask about our missing orders.

That being said, I had the luck of ordering the chicken Rfissa. This was one of the best meals I have had in Morocco. Though overpriced, I enjoyed every bite, and was able to feed the other two in my party since their meals were...

Don’t waste your time here.

I’ll start by saying that the food is good and the service was very welcoming at first and throughout the meal. Yet, the owner is very unpleasant and rude and I’ll explain.

After waiting for my dish for about 45 minutes (which is somewhat normal for allot of places in Morroco), the server came with a salad and clearly said that it comes with my tagine. Guess what happened when I got the check?, 60 dirhams were added for the salad (fine mistakes happens), but NO, when I told the owner what happened he started getting tantrums at me demanding to see the server and refusing to give me change. I told him that the food was good but that he’s not nice, yet he started blaming me for something again.

Btw after the salad arrived I waited for 30 minutes more for the other dish, & also everyone around me got mezeh plates that I never received.

Go elsewhere, plenty of places. Try Chez Zaza, highly...
