Dining at Restaurant La Terrasse du Marché was the worst mistake of our trip. Both of us ended up with a serious stomach illness that lasted for days immediately after eating here. The whole experience was suspicious: the waiter took our order, then left the restaurant, returned from the street with ready-made dishes, and served them to us. Water was served in plastic cups which looked like they had been used before. There was no sign of any actual kitchen or food preparation on site. Another clear warning sign we ignored: not a single local was eating there, only tourists.

The result was several days of sickness and a ruined part of our holiday. If you value your health and your trip, stay away from this place. It is nothing but a tourist trap serving...

Long wait for fast food (1h+) and way too long wait to pay. Asked for the bill, response "Just a second, I'll be right there with you". Waiter proceeded to stand around and do nothing. After 10 minutes we asked again and got the same response. In the end we had to ask another waiter, who luckily took our request immediately. That being said, the food was alright, good for the price but nothing special. I'm split on the atmosphere. Surprisingly good. It seemed very average, and for some reason I saw very few people inside. However, the food was delicious, with a strong kick of taste, which I often missed in other restaurants. The portions are quite big as well. The young staff guys could get around the customers a bit quicker. They all sat on the street side and didn’t observe inside very often.
