A good place to go for a drink, alcoholic of course, and relax at sunset or afterward. The special part of this establishment is that it is over a quiter square with no major road below with all the honking, no snake charmers blaring their horns, and somewhat reduced tourist load vs the main square. The terraced dining area is up against a prominent Eucalyptus tree and a wall adorned with storks doing their storkly duties. There is an upper terrace that is smaller and a lower terrace that projects out away from the building. An hour or two before sunset, it was fairly busy in the best seats, but cleared out somewaht around sunset. The music they played was very mellow and down tempo. Alcoholic beverages were pricer than usual given the primo location. 50 to 80 dirham for a beer, 150 dirham for a cocktail, cheapest wine bottles(local, recommended) were starting at 200 dirham. KosyBar delivers high-quality food, but the service does not meet the same standard. The difference is so noticeable that the chefs in the kitchen could benefit from a more professional and attentive front-of-house team to match their level of expertise.

Read moreWe were recommended by the owners of Riad Anika (who do not sell alcohol) where we staying in Marrakesh that if we wanted to have a drink to go to Kosybar…. what a result!!
This place was a highlight of our Marrakesh adventure. It doesn’t look much from the ground, but once you enter you are in a world of cool vibes.. they have gentle music playing on all floors and the rooftop bar offers spectacular view across old Marrakesh. The third floor bar is more shaded and has misting sprays and the capacity for a large bunch of people which look equally happy to have discovered the place as we did. Really friendly staff, lovely surroundings superb food which is a fusion mix of local and European food. We had most of the things on the menu during our stay and there was not a bad choice!!
If you go to Marrakesh, make sure you...
