Please be patient because this is a little long. I'd never had a tour guide on any of my travels, always travel with a friend and just do our own thing. Travelling to Africa, Morocco specifically for the very first time was a bit intimidating. Didn't speak ANY of the many languages you can encounter there. As such I decided the best thing to do would be to get a tour guide. I have NO REGRETS!! I'd seen a post on Facebook singing praises for a guide from Ecodesert Morocco Tours - Atmane Taghlaoui. I sent him a DM on Instagram, and he responded promptly sending his website. From there, I told him how many days I had and he created an itinerary, sent it via email. I booked him within the week. There was something about how he replied to me that made me feel safe and like he could be trusted. This was July, fast forward to October 22 when we were to land in Casablanca at 4:15 PM from Lisbon but had a 5 hour delay. I was so worried, didn't know if he would be upset or would leave. I kept in touch with him, and he reassured me "it happens, don't worry I will be here waiting" he said. He was so patient and understanding. We eventually landed at 9:30pm, he was super friendly, even though he'd been at the airport for hours. We had to abandon our tour of Casablanca and continue on to Fes, so he drove the 3 hours that night. We got to our Riad at 3:15 am, after he stopped so we could eat. Throughout the entire week, he was on time each day. Answered all our questions, took us to places that a tourist wouldn't usually go. Told us what to look out for, just overall good advice on how to be aware of our surroundings. Every place he took us to eat was amazing! If you have specific gifts in mind or just want to do regular shopping he will tell you the best place to get the quality at a good price. It was an absolute pleasure having him as our guide, he's super knowledgeable and very proud and passionate about his people. If you're looking for history on your trip, he won't disappoint. He laughed at our jokes, and car karaoke was too funny! We're already planning our trip for the coast. Anytime I'm in Morocco I will always call on Atman. If you are thinking about visiting Morocco and would benefit from a local's knowledge and guidance then Atman is your guy 1000%! He's like ordering Guess and getting Yves Saint Laurent! Incredible trip to Morocco and all thanks for making it perfect goes to Atmane at Eco Desert Morocco for creating the perfect itinerary and to Youssef, our driver and guide for the full 8 days/7 nights. Trust me when I say, do not waste your time researching other tour companies. Eco Desert Morocco is the way to go. Atmane was very responsive to correspondences while planning the trip and I found the price to be very reasonable. I loved simply informing him of our arrival and departure dates and the rest was planned out for us. Not having a lot of time on hand, this serve was simply priceless. My son and I travelled to Morocco from Canada from Sept 26 to Oct 4, 2025. Youssef met as at the airport in Casablanca and drove us daily for a private tour as we covered a lot of distance that included stops and overnight stay in Rabat, Fes, Sahara Desert, Ouarzazate, Marrakech and Casablanca. Youssef was on time, every time, for pick up, drop off and providing interesting facts and information about towns and sites we are were passing along the way. Although some distances were long, stops at interesting sites along the way helped break up the trip. The vehicle was very comfortable. Hotels/Riads along with daily breakfast chosen for us were excellent, especially in Fes, Ouarzazate and the Dihya Desert Camp outside Merzouga. The desert was the highlight of the trip and well worth the drive. Be there for the camel ride to view the sunset and be sure to get up early to see the sunrise. The city tours organized for us in Fes and Marrakech were interesting. We are already planning to return for a vacation, but this time, visit the north including Tangier, and Chefchaoun and we will use the services of Atmane at Eco Desert Morocco...

We were a group of 25 and Atman from Eco Desert Morocco made sure we had an awesome experience. He was very knowledgeable and very personable. He was extremely patient with our group as we were of various ages and some had mobility issues.

Our package included lodging, meals and other activities and everything met our expectations. We traveled on a large, comfortable coach bus and our bus driver was also very personable and made us feel safe at all times. We also had a photographer traveling with us who captured the lifetime memories we made on this trip.

We spent many hours on the bus traveling to many different cities. We started in Casablanca, traveled to Marrakesh, Agadir, Quarzazate, luxury camped in the Sahara Desert, Fes, Chefchaouen and circled back to Casablanca. We stayed overnight in each location in wonderful accommodations. Atman made sure we were comfortable, throughout the entire journey and regaled us with his knowledge regarding the areas we passed through, the sights we saw as well as the sites we visited.

I would love to return to Morocco and would not hesitate to book my trip with Atman and Eco Desert Morocco. He was the best! Thank you Atman. Hope to see you again in the not so...
