This little corner of the bigger spice market is simply the best. It's inside what was once upon a time a hotel, shops are located on what was the courtyard, but you can see the upper floor where the rooms used to be. It's extremely atmospheric and a great place for photos. Anwar, who has the shop right in front, when you enter the courtyard, is incredibly helpful and speaks good English. He will guide you through his whole assortment of spices, teas, oils, soaps, etc, if you ask him to. Many locals shop here, and prices are not "spiced up". Merchants are very relaxed and the whole place exudes tranquillity.

Flavorful Experience You Won’t Forget Mellah Spice is a hidden gem for anyone who loves bold, authentic Moroccan flavors. The spice blends are incredibly aromatic and rich—you can smell the freshness as soon as you walk in. Whether you’re cooking tagine, couscous, or just want to add a kick to your dishes, this place has everything. The staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable, making the shopping experience even better. A must-visit for food lovers and home cooks alike!

Another fantastic market where you can usually spend a good chunk of time avoiding sellers and enjoying the sounds, smells and colors this market has to offer. I thought it was very quiet compared to other markets in the city, nonetheless it was totally worth visiting. From what I saw, only cash is taken

There is one shop outside just outside which was really lovely. There are prices on all the products and the staff were lovely. But inside the market was a different story. The staff in the indoor shops were really pushy and overpriced - everything we bought was a total rip off (literally 10x the price you should pay)! Also the staff at the stalls kept putting spices in our faces and making us try stuff which was really overwhelming and they wouldn't stop until we...
