Terrible experience. Avoid if you’re looking for courtesy and professionalism.

I was deeply disappointed by this restaurant, especially after being drawn in by glowing reviews that, in hindsight, are highly misleading.

I booked a table for myself and my family at 4:00 PM through the website. I received an email confirming that the request had been received, but stating that we needed to wait for final confirmation. We waited patiently all afternoon, until finally at 8:15 PM—right before dinner time—we received the confirmation. Despite the short notice, we rushed to the restaurant.

Upon arrival, the staff at the entrance were friendly and asked whether we preferred to sit inside or on the rooftop. I had already requested the terrace via email, and given the heat, we were happy to confirm. But once we got upstairs, we were met by a woman—presumably the owner—with a cold and dismissive attitude, who, without so much as a greeting, ordered us to go back downstairs, even though there were free tables available.

I politely tried to explain the situation: the booking, the long wait, the terrace request. But with arrogance and rudeness, she insisted that “it wasn’t possible” and dismissed us with obvious indifference.

So we sat inside, directly in front of a freezing blast of air conditioning, which was unbearable. After a few minutes, we decided to leave, forced to find a last-minute alternative.

In conclusion: in all my years of dining out, I’ve rarely encountered such rudeness and such a lack of hospitality. That woman represents the very opposite of what a good restaurateur should be: lacking empathy, rude, and clearly unconcerned with her guests’ well-being.

If you’re looking for warmth, respect, and professionalism, I strongly suggest you take your time and...

Greetings, I held a position at Mandala Society Marrakech as a waiter for a duration exceeding four months. Reflecting upon my tenure at Mandala, I find solace in the camaraderie shared among the staff. As an employee, my interactions with fellow colleagues were the highlight of my experience. Regrettably, the managerial approach of the establishment often left much to be desired. Instances of tardiness were met with less-than-welcoming reception, and the learning process that accompanies mistakes seemed disregarded. Furthermore, the requirement to arrive early each morning was accompanied by the absence of breakfast, a contrast to the sight of the manager indulging in his own morning repast while assigning tasks. The quality of the lunch provided, and the food we were given at lunch were terrible. And he made us smile and treat the client as kings, while he treat us like slaves , and also he's fake with clients too ... . Seeing clients spending their money there knowing you don't sell them good stuff. It's scam. You have to learn You must be human before manager even if there not good conditions be good as you said many times. You told me that the reason why you told me to go because of the improvement. And I want to tell you that you should improve yourself firstly. And Thanks for the juice you gave me yesterday. Therefore If the owners of the restaurant know what is going on in their shop and remain silent, then I do not wish the best for that place only way to improve things it's to expose...

I really don't get it why this place is so high rated. I carefully pick and choose the places we eat when on holiday and first time we got there they were full and we booked for next day. When we got there they first said they won't be able to sit us on the rooftop but 5 mins later they said "for you we will open the rooftop" when our booking was made for the outside in the first place. And then all started, 15 min for ordering, another 20 for coffees and another 20 for the breakfast board. As she brought the food, a small piece of apple felt of the board on the tray and the waitress literally grabbed the board with one hand and with the other she took the apple and put it in her mouth in front of us, I have never in my life seen this in a restaurant. Anyway, the food was completely worng, we ordered the salty board and got the sweet board. She took the board back to change it but left the eggs on the table, 15 minutes later she brought the board back but the eggs were already ice cold but I had to actually ask her if she seriously thinks I will eat the cold eggs. She brought new eggs but forgot to bring bread and although ive asked for bread twice I never got it. So, service was simply terrible but not even the food wasn't good. Two eggs tasteless omelette, couple of avocado toasts, the worst hummus ever had and they filled uo the board with sliced apple £20. That's a scam, its more expensive than UK. Worst place we've eaten...

We popped into this restaurant and made a reservation for quite late. Our excursion finished early and they were able to accommodate us for dinner before our reservation time. We chose to sit up on the terrace but halfway through dinner it was starting to get cold. Another table asked for blankets but there wasn't any available, so they moved downstairs. I recommend to get some so that customers eating don't need to move halfway through dinner. Unfortunately there were some unavailable items at a normal dinner time. We weren't told this immediately when we were given the menu. This would improve service. I had the fish burger and my husband the fish and chips. Both really tasty. Homemade ketchup and white sauce was a nice touch. We ordered some bread hoping it was a sourdough morrocan special bread but it was a normal loaf and didn't come with any sides. So we ordered a portion of hummus which was far too much for 2 people. After dinner we were far too cold so we went downstairs and ended up ordering dessert. I opted for the brownie and my husband the chocolate tart. Both were delicious. Would definitely recommend. The brownie was super rich and indulgent and I would definitely recommend to share it as the portion is quite a lot for one person. This is a great option for vegans and veggies as well as pescatarians.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food What a hidden gem in Morocco! 🌟 This spot didn’t show up on any vegan lists we found, but it absolutely should. They offer both vegan and vegetarian options, and everything sounded amazing. We ordered the chili sin carne and the Buddha bowl—both were packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Bonus: they even have a vegan quesadilla with vegan yogurt and cheese! 🥑🧀🌱 ⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service Super quick and friendly! 🚀 We were the only ones there, and the staff spoke fluent English. The menu is available online, and best of all—they accept credit cards, which is a rare win in Marrakech. 💳🙌 ⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Atmosphere They have air conditioning! ❄️ Enough said. In the Marrakech heat, this alone could earn them 5 stars. The place was clean, calm, and a perfect escape from the sun. 🌞🏠 ⸻ 💰 Price: $$ Expect to pay around 140–150 dirhams per dish. That’s a bit pricier for Marrakech, but still a great value considering the quality and comfort. Worth it! 💸🥗

Worst experience so far We had a 6 PM reservation, but upon arrival, we found out it had been moved to 5:30 PM due to iftar—something no one informed us about. The staff suggested we stay until 7 PM and have drinks, but we decided to leave and return later. When we came back at 7, they were still closed, with staff members in the middle of their meal, which we unintentionally interrupted. We went to the rooftop and about 30 minutes later, they finally took our order: fish & chips, hummus, and sweet potatoes. The fish was tough to cut, and upon closer look, it was raw inside. When we asked the waiter if it was supposed to be like that, he just grabbed the plate and ran off. I told them not to bring another one, just to remove it from the bill, which they did—though by that point, we had no desire to stay any longer. They muttered a single apology, and that was it. Given all the great reviews, this place turned out to be a huge disappointment.
