I cannot recommend this wonderful gem highly enough! I’d rather it was kept a secret, but if you’re looking for a well priced, comfortable, friendly and beautiful Riad then this is your place! Fantastic value but the people make it. Ayoub, the manager, is nothing short of superb! Professional, welcoming, accommodating and super friendly, he made our trip! Nothing was too much trouble! Fatima, the owner, really knows her market! She was also friendly, knowledgeable and very welcoming. We were welcomed with mint tea and local information. The rooms are so comfortable and so very pretty! Everything you need is right there……beds (obviously) air conditioning, fantastic hot and powerful shower, good towels, a good bathroom with mirror and hanging space for your clothing and it is so clean! Full length mirror in the room. |Breakfast…….absolutely perfect! We never had the same breakfast twice! The home cooking is excellent. Pastries, cake, breads, eggs, fruit, fabulous coffee and local mint tea all served in the gorgeous little dining area. There is a fantastic roof terrace to enjoy a drink in the late afternoon, soft furnishings, sun beds, tables and chairs…..but intimate enough for some privacy. The other staff were also fantastic! It’s quiet too as it’s just off the main thoroughfare.|Once you leave the quiet of the Riad, a couple of left turns and you’re in the thick of the souk…..a short walk to the square and the full Marrakesh experience awaits! Excellent all round! Thank you for such a memorable and...
Read moreMy review is based from the perspective of a 28 year old male that has lived in New York City for his entire life. This Riad is located in a inner street, still very close to the Medina and action. Upon entry I was greeted by a young lady that immediately got me the keys to my room. Prior to arrival the owner Sufian emailed me to verify my arrival time. When I entered my room i was amazed at how clean it was, ranging from the floors to bathroom and beds. Also the AC worked very well.
After getting settled in Sufian introduced himself to me. He provided his WhatsApp contact info if i needed him at anytime which i loved. Sufian than provided a map to me of places within walking distance that I should visit.
I asked about our included breakfast the following day. Sufian indicated that there was no specific time and it would be ready when I am.
The following day, I woke up and was expecting a mass produced continental breakfast as we are use to in the United States.
I was so wrong, all of my breakfast items were cooked to order when i was ready to eat. You can tell that everything was fresh and made with love. This breakfast was a filling one.
A safe cab ride was arranged back to the airport by the owner.
I cannot thank Riad Argan enjoy for making my stay a pleasant one and also exposing me to the warm hospitality of the...
Read moreVery disappointing experience, beware of false accusations
Unfortunately, our stay at this riad was a very unpleasant experience. After leaving a negative review, we received false accusations from the riad, claiming that we had returned drunk. This is completely untrue, as we do not drink. It's sad that the riad resorts to such accusations to justify a poor experience. If they have any proof, they are welcome to show the camera footage.
Additionally, the riad alleged that we tried to bring men inside, which is also completely false. In fact, the area felt very unsafe, to the point where we couldn't even walk outside alone. Whenever we went out with friends, they had to pick us up because we couldn't rely on the riad for any help. This felt like a total scam, and I can confidently say this is not a good place to stay.
The riad also claims to have a rooftop terrace where you can smoke, but this 'terrace' turned out to be a rundown roof covered in mud, dirt, and insects. Instead of taking responsibility, they accused us of using drugs there, which is entirely fabricated. We did not disturb anyone, and it’s disappointing that this riad stoops to such low tactics.
As a trusted reviewer, I absolutely do not recommend staying at this riad. If you still choose to do so, you'll likely have the same experience and regret...
