Feel so lucky to have snagged a spot at the counter for lunch on a Saturday. One advantage of being a solo traveler, as I watched numerous groups of two or more without a reservation get turned away. Ordered the “tea of Chef Hind” and pasta of the day. My only recommendation is that the space needs another bathroom, one bathroom for a restaurant of its size is not sufficient. And my only other comment—and the only reason I didn’t give the restaurant five stars—is that the maître d’ (the woman collecting money, not the woman seating people) was really rude. I was thinking of buying a copy of their cookbook and she basically tore it out of my hands. I was flipping through it to see if I wanted to buy it—perhaps she thought I was trying to study the recipes. I don’t know what she thought but it was very strange. Other than that small negative interaction, the rest of the experience was great.

Beautiful spot soiled by RUDE & TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT I called three times to confirm our reservation which was a nightmare because each time they could not find it. When we arrived we were told by a rude hostess we didn't have a reservation. The French owner was right there and didn't seem to bother. After proving I had called countless times, they told us they ran out of food and all we could have was a salad and a slice of cake that had sat in the sun for hours. We were served Nespresso coffee and hot water with tea bags!! I approached the owner to give her some feedback and she was unapologetic and kept telling me she is running a restaurant with a unique concept and it's normal to run out of food. The sanitary conditions they cook in are questionable too. The staff is straight RUDE and unfriendly.

I came to this place after seeing it on tiktok. Firstly the waitress was very rude no smile or anything. When we sat down to eat we noticed 4 people sit opposite us, they ordered 4 coffees and the waitress rudely told them that they need to order food so they asked for starters and the waitress said they need to have lunch properly and order a main meal or leave. I think that is very very rude, a customer is a customer regardless on how much they spend. I ordered a pizzetta and was given a disgusting salad with couscous, raspberries, carrots, spring onions and cream cheese?? what type of combo is that. When i complained the woman at the till told me I ate it and said what do u want me to do about it? That is atrocious. They are very careless and cannot understand basic requests.

⭐️ La Familia – A Mixed Bag of Great Food and Disappointing Service We had a reservation for four and arrived on time. The restaurant was being managed and serviced by three waitresses. The one attending to our table initially seemed polite — she showed us to our seats and explained the menu of the day in English, which was our chosen language of communication. However, things took an uncomfortable turn when we made a simple request to have the orange lemonade prepared less sweet for my parents. That seemed to upset her, and from that point onward, she switched to speaking only in French — refusing to explain or respond in English. We tried to clarify our request again using a translation app, but she simply mumbled something unintelligible and walked away. It felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. When the drink finally arrived, it was extremely sweet — almost as if extra sugar had been added out of spite. At that point, we would have preferred if they had just declined the order rather than serve it this way. Thankfully, the food was genuinely good — compliments to the chef. The salad of the day was refreshing and beautifully balanced, and the chocolate fondant was an absolute delight. Food: 4/5 Ambience: 5/5 Staff experience: -1/5 It’s disappointing when a restaurant with such potential and good food is let down by an unprofessional and unwelcoming service team. They clearly understand English but seem to choose when to acknowledge it, which leaves a poor impression. A pity, really — this place could have been an easy favorite if not for...

My friend recommended the restaurant having eaten here before so I was looking forward to dining here. The place is visually pleasing; tropical plants and gorgeous shaded courtyard. Sadly that is the only positive I can offer about La Famille. As others have experienced, the staff and in particular the female manager are downright rude. Firstly, no smile or greeting on arrival, we were seen by two female Members of staff who looked our way but did not acknowledge us. We were left standing in the courtyard. There was some confusion about what we were supposed or do and when my friend followed a member of staff to the table believing we we’re being seated, there was eye rolling by the staff. We were then shown to a sharing table and opted to sit at the other end to where there was a group already seated as there was space. We were quickly approached by the manager who told us we could not sit there as we were blocking the table for other customers (though there weren’t any others waiting) and we had to move. She was very dismissive when we tried to apologise. Her approach was aggressive, arrogant and entirely unnecessary. It made us both feel unwelcome and rather taken aback to be honest. After a look at the menu and still reeling from the way we had been treated we decided to leave and take our custom elsewhere. I have not experienced such rude and surly individual in a longtime. Quite how she expects to be successful in a service industry is beyond me. Overrated , over priced and an unpleasant experience. Save yourselves!...

I recently visited La Famile with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the setting was pleasant enough, the service and menu offerings were disappointing.

The waitress who served us was noticeably curt, which made the overall atmosphere feel less welcoming. The menu itself was surprisingly limited, with very few options to choose from—especially if you follow a vegan diet. When I asked about vegan alternatives, the staff were not particularly accommodating. Though they were willing to remove cheese from a dish, there was no effort made to substitute it with a plant-based alternative, which felt both dismissive and unbalanced given the price point.

Adding to the letdown, there were no vegan desserts available, and the coffee came from a pod machine—not what one would expect from a place that seems to position itself as a quality dining spot.

Overall, I left feeling disappointed. While some diners might enjoy La Famile, I, unfortunately, would not recommend it—particularly to those looking for inclusive, thoughtful dining or a welcoming...
