A Beautiful Experience at Manza – Twice in a Row!
My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Manza, a charming rooftop restaurant in the heart of Marrakech. From the stunning views to the soothing ambience, everything about this place felt magical. But what truly made it special was the hospitality we received from the wonderful staff – Hamid, Fatima Zahra, and Caisse – who welcomed us with warmth and genuine kindness.
On our first visit, we stopped by for a light treat and enjoyed their traditional mint tea alongside a refreshing mango sorbet. It was such a delightful experience that we couldn't resist coming back the very next day for lunch.
Our second visit was even more memorable. We started with fresh orange juice and a creamy mango shake, followed by a delicious avocado shrimp salad that was full of flavour and beautifully presented. For our main course, we shared the mixed grill, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. We ended the meal with another comforting pot of mint tea, rounding off a perfect afternoon.
Manza is not just about good food – it’s about feeling welcomed, relaxed, and cared for. The service we received from Hamid, Fatima Zahra, and Caisse made our visits feel personal and memorable. We’re so glad we found this gem and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech.
Thank you again, Manza team – we hope to return one day,...
Read moreI visited this restaurant on 14th July with my missus for our final night in Marrakesh. At a glance, the place looks nice. We sat on the rooftop. No sign of any help to order. I called someone over who just ignored me, called another, who took 15 minutes to come. Eventually, I ordered a lemonade and was given lemon juice with water and green food colouring. We ordered a prawn tagine for starters. The prawns hadn't been cleaned. They still had the black line, which is the intestine. Ordered a lamb tagine and a mixed grill to share between us. The tagine was nice but the mixed grill.... what a disgrace. The kofte was less than a centimetre thin. The "lamb "chops were like soid rubber, and the chicken smelled awful, clearly cooked from frozen. Management was no help when I complained. I offered to pay for what we were able to eat, no joy. It was about to get aggressive, so I paid what I felt comfortable with and walked out. Ruined our last night in marrakesh. Avoid this place,...
Read moreI had dinner at Manzah l’Koutoubia in Marrakesh, and honestly, it was a letdown. The place looks great – the atmosphere and the view are really nice. But the food was a big problem, especially for someone who knows Moroccan cuisine.
My wife’s Chicken Tajine was so bad we couldn’t eat it. I ordered Moroccan Cow Feet with Chickpeas, but what I got was just cow feet and barely any chickpeas, which isn’t how it’s supposed to be.
Also, they gave us just one small piece of bread for both of us. When we asked for more, it took ages to arrive. We pretty much stopped eating and waited for the bread.
The staff just did their job, nothing special. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. The food didn’t match what good Moroccan food should be like, which was the...
