Had two meals here. Dinner and lunch.

Absolutely amazing place. Beautiful white interior with mid century/ art deco lighting. Warm welcome from who I think is Cassandra Karinsky, one of the co founders.

Amazing Tomatini with a twist of lychee and ginger. The negroni was equally potent and excellent.

The battered olives similar to olive tempura was excellent and never had that anywhere else prior- why hasn’t anyone thought of it!

The fish taco was good as the mussle Arancini. The octopus was excellent- beautifully charred and a nice sauce.

The mains of sea bream was perfectly cooked with a crispy skin, beautiful sauce again with peppers . The green veg was fresh - on the average side.

The semifredo was excellent with fig and filo pastry-Amazing dish.

Second meal, lunch. Few tables at 1300 but soon filled up by 1400. Had the Tomatini again which was excellent, followed by the starter special of Asian style cripsy chicken with gurkins, was excellent.

The mains of fish with a Asian style coconut gravy was again excellent. The cripsy chickpeas were a delight.

The beef sandwich. Nice super filling, crispy grilled bread with oil similar to a fried bread.

The panna cotta was excellent for desert. Service...

We'd been staying at a Riad in the Old Medina. Absolutely an experience to be had. Four nights of straight traditional Tagine and the like, well my tummy was a bit.... disturbed. After the recommendation from our yoga instructor that morning (when asking for a healthier option), she pointed us to +61. No regrets. It's a refreshing welcome back to gut health! haha

Australian owner Cassandra Karinsky (also featured in this month (I think) 'Women of Morocco' magazine) happened to be there, and I basically bowed at her feet after our meal. The falafel cauliflower coriander with tahini yoghurt was my favorite. So lightly crispy on the outside and just the right amount of tang from the yoghurt to complement. Caper berries and salt to bring out the flavor, just a winning combo. Ravioli, eggplant ricotta and pepita pesto was also very tasty. So fresh, and thoughtful ingredients. Also tried the fish dish with spiced fennel and roasted coconut, some green beans and cubed jicama. This dish was just okay, something lacked, maybe needed a bit more citrus.

I would recommend this restaurant 100 times. If you get to the new city,...

OMG.... the best meal of our 5 week Morocco trip, by far! The service we received from walking in the door, through to leaving was impeccable. The food was expertly described to ensure we had the best experience possible. The decor is beautiful and we cannot recommend the restaurant enough.

Anyone who doesn't know, +61 is the dialling code for Australia, a nod to the owners and the style of food served.

We're both vegetarian and had no issues ordering food and they were happy (where possible) to change dishes to make vegetarian. Every dish was amazing.

Very clean restaurant and the staff were constantly wiping down the table between courses, every aspect of the restaurant was spotlessly clean.

The style of food is share plates, quite common in Australia. The ideas is you order a couple of starters to share and then the same with the mains. Everything was sooo tasty and our server Norfelt was amazing.

I wouldn't suggest this is a budget meal, but for our penultimate night in Morocco, is was a perfect ending...

Amazing food! Convinced my uncle to share a chicken snitzel, the panko was crispy, the celeriac salad and dressing perfect. The homemade chilli sauce added some sharpness and heat. Squeeze of lemon bought it all together. Steak sandwich was fabulous, fresh sourdough, well dressed salad with sirloin steak. We opted for some extra Aeoli and were not disappointed. Desserts were also delicious- pannacotta was perfectly balanced, the espresso Caramel cut through the creaminess, the broken almonds added texture. For drinks, the spritz and watermelon juice were on point. The iced coffee late with coconut foam was refreshing - you could tell the coffee was single origin. Overall a fantastic find, would definitely come again!

If you're in Marrakech then you need to make the time and go eat at Plus61. Everything I ordered tasted great. The menu description doesn't even prepare you for your meal experience. The waiters were super helpful. And bring the right energy to serve you. The atmosphere is really nice, it has an intimate vibe. Things to note, they have a lunch and dinner menu. Their website does not mention this. I would recommend dressy casual, I came in too casual. Felt a little out of place. There were a couple items on the menu online that were not offered, so don't be dead set on what you see online. The waiter will fill you in. I had a great experience, will be going back before I leave Morocco.
