On food alone I'd give 3.5 stars, but service would be a flat zero. The waitress was rude, told us she got into a lot of trouble with the chef because we put in an order for 2 piece fashion sandwiches when you're supposed to order 4 (2 piece is on the menu, so I don't see the problem). The waitress also brought the bill before we had finished eating. She attempted to overcharge us by R228 on a R396 bill (instead of 1 x 8 piece rainbow rolls, she put on 4 x 8 piece, at R76 per unit). She then insisted it was correct and even whipped out her notebook to show us what we ordered - the problem being that we had not ordered, nor eaten, 32 pieces of sushi. After numerous attempts to correct the bill, all of which ended up with the same amount and her insisting she was right, we asked for the manager. She stormed away and did not call the manager at all, but brought us another incorrect bill and kept saying quite patronisingly that we mustn't get angry because it will be sorted. At this point I raised my voice (I did not swear at the waitress, nor insult her, but voiced my displeasure at the situation loud enough to get the managers attention) - the manager quickly corrected the bill but also didn't seem all that interested in what went wrong - it was more embarrassment at the whole restaurant hearing the situation. My mom in law ordered the 2 piece fashion sandwich and half an hour later the waitress comes to tell us that she got into "big trouble" because we ordered the 2 piece and they only do it in 4 piece, which is not true as we asked for the menu to make sure and it clearly states that it comes in 2 pieces. Slightly irritated at this point, but we got over it and waited another 10 minutes for our sushi to arrive. We enjoyed the sushi but before we had even finished eating our food, the bill was put on the table?? After I had finished eating, we opened the bill and noticed that we had been overcharged by nearly R300. We mentioned it to our waitress and she insisted that we were wrong. After asking for the menu for the third time we finally received it and pointed out the prices that we should have been charged and even worked it out for her, which she STILL argued with. At that point we were very frustrated and we got up and went to the manager to sort it out. When the manager finally sorted out our bill to the right amount after about 15 minutes of arguing from the waitress, we did not even receive a proper apology from the manager. I work in the hospitality industry and I would never complain or be unreasonable unnecessarily, but this was the worst service I've ever received. The 2 stars are solely based...
Read moreWe are from Windhoek, used to go very often to this place, always great food, great ambiente, great service, but were very disappointed today of the new owner (french female) when ordering a "dessert sushi plate" which came out as a "chocolate sushi" for starter. We wanted to cancel it and instead of that order a real sushi starter (with fish! as usual one understands when ordering sushi...) The owner came to the table: no hello, no explanation, just shouting to us! Very unfriendly, no attempt to solve the misunderstanding. At the end we paid the "dessert platter" took it as take-away (the owner insisted to get it paid) and gave it to the security outside. Neverever we will visit this place again with this owner! Very unprofessionell...poor staff! Look for...
