I love the drinks at Java. However, the food is a huge miss for me.
For the price of Rs. 745, the non-veg carbonara was shy of the amount of meat. The meat was more like a garnish rather than a crucial part of the dish. As is obvious, the portion size of the whole dish felt extremely stingy. Even if the portion sizes are small, the ingredients could have been placed more generously given the steep price charged. The cheesecakes I tried were very underwhelming. I think the team might need to tweak their recipe some more. I am a fan of basque burnt cheesecakes in general but just looking at Himalayan Javaâs basque cheesecake was disappointing. I didnât even feel like ordering it. With a brand that has earned such a high reputation, itâs just expected that youâll be getting your moneyâs worth.
