We went for a birthday celebration. Ambience is beautiful, very posh and elegant. Cocktail menu looks promising. I tried the penthouse cocktail that was served on a flute glass. Taste was good. Portion was smaller than a standard cocktail size. I was served around 90 ml for a 1500/- cocktail.watermelon juice was fresh and delicious.
On starters we ordered chicken sekuwa. It was delicious & charred to perfection. Salad on the side was good too. However, i would suggest that Some good old traditional recipes like Hummus or dhedo should be left alone. An overpowering Pickle mixed with the hummus was a slap to our face . Potato wedge came with a very good chutney but wedge itself was soggy.Mozzarella stick had so cheese pull to it and was served cold.
On mains, tikka naan was okay. Mashed potato on grilled chicken was gritty. Sauces names were not announced on service and we were confused as what went with each dish. My partner enjoyed the bhutton pie but the gamey smell of goat was too strong on a pie for me. I ordered stuffed squid. Had no sides on my main. This was my first time not enjoying a grilled squid. The stuffing was over powering with spices and squid itself was not grilled properly. After finishing our mains we received one of our missing mains- A take on phapar dedo together with the desssert. A humble dhedo itself is good or could have beeen better if it was treated like a gnocchi i guess. Was bit difficult for us to swallow a carb ball that served no purpose. Chicken soup on the side was good.
Dessert was mediocre. Loved the texture of citrus bits on lemon cheese cake. Kheer brulee had no crack on top. Kheer tasted more like overcooked payas.
Service was mediocre. Servers looked professional though. A suggestion- please clean table before serving dessert. On average we paid around 15k for a dinner of 4 people. Price is not bad for a high end place . Would definitely recommend to visit for the ambience and a beautiful backdrop...
Read moreWent recently with my family with high expectations (it's Chef Santosh's place c'mon) but was greatly disappointed with the service and the food. This is an expensive restaurant too which would make you think that the service and food would be up to par. Firstly the service, is it not a common courtesy for the servers of any restaurant to hand out cutlery? Almost all restaurants provide them before they serve, or they bring them with the dishes. We were not provided with any spoons or forks until we asked for them. We had the prawns and fries first so they were not needed (debatable) but they served grilled chicken without any cutlery. Does this make sense? My ghar cheu ko bhatti provides a spoon and fork......without having to ask. Out of all the food that we ordered (and we ordered a lot), only the drinks and the truffle fries tasted decent which could have been more crispier btw so the bottom line is DO NOT...
Read moreIf you're looking for a perfect stop to chill this is a place to be. Went here for my lunch recently. Yes, it is a bit expensive. But the price paid is worth it. First up the ambience was stunning. Classy decors and set ups. Seating booths with privacy was also available. Likewise, the space here is quite huge and spacious.
The service here was also quite top notch. Attentive staff who focus on your needs. From greetings till you leave, they provide you with the best of service.
As for the drinks, would definitely recommend trying their mocktails. Likewise, the seafood past was quite mouthwatering. Rich and creamy and must say perfectly cooked. None of the sea food pieces in the dish was overcooked. And must also compliment that the past had a good deal of seafood in it. Loved it.
To sum up, would say you're not paying just for the food but also for the experience, setting and...
