Myself, my brother, and my sister, decided to go through Glorious Eco Trek for our trip to Nepal to go trekking on the Mardi Himal route. The company was recommended by a Nepali friend. We are so happy with our decision to go with this company. While still in Canada our first point of contact was Anil, who coordinates everything, and was very responsive through WhatsApp for any of our many questions. When we arrived in Kathmandu we were picked up at the airport by the man who would be our guide for our trek, Bhabi (Bobby). Bobby was also available for any questions we had while we were in Kathmandu for a couple days before the trek started. This was above and beyond what they needed to help us with, but we were assured they were here for us for anything we may need. The hotel they set us up in was rated 3 stars which made me a little nervous, but having travelled to many island resorts before, this hotel seemed more like 4 stars to me. The Hotel Thamel Park is very nice, and had the best Momo's I found in Kathmandu, which is no small thing. Our trek started with a bus ride to Pokhara, which was about 9 hours long on bumpy mountain roads. Gravol may be a good idea, but the scenery was spectacular and made the bus ride worth it all for me. Once on the actual trek, it's difficult to understate how critical Bobby was to us enjoying the experience. He has such vast local knowledge. My sister noticed fiddle heads on the trail and talked about how we would sometimes have them at home. I noticed Bobby call ahead to the tea house we would stop at for lunch and ask if they could make fiddle heads with our dhal Bhat. He never took credit for having done that. Bobby controlled our pace to make sure we didn't go too fast, ensuring that none of us had issues with the altitude. If I were ever to come back to Nepal for another Trek, I would schedule it around Bobby's availability to be my guide again, that's how good he was. the overall experience through Glorious Eco Trek is so good, so straight forward, It's difficult for words to do it justice. Just got back from an epic 15-day journey on the Annapurna Circuit, and wow - what an experience! The Himalayas are as majestic as you’d imagine, with every turn revealing a new, breathtaking view. From lush valleys to snow-capped peaks, the scenery was constantly changing and always stunning.

It was my first time experiencing a lot of things on this trek and it was truly INCREDIBLE! From Snow-peaks, snowing, hot springs, hit my personal best on altitudes and many more.
