Absolutely wonderful - excellent customer service, incredibly nice facilities, delicious food - locally owned and operated - the people that work at Barahi Kathmandu are astronomically nice, caring, attentive and friendly. ||We stayed at Barahi Jungle Lodge, Barahi Pokarah and Barahi Kathmandu on our trip to Nepal because of the kindness, warmth, hospitality and care that the workers gave. We would recommend the Barahi brand to any international traveler: families, couples, or singles. ||Barahi Kathmandu has incredible staff and service, the most memorable were: Sabina at the front desk, Sunil at the restaurant/pool and Krish. Everyone provides excellent service and hospitality, especially Sabina, Sunil and Krish. We will return to visit because the people were so incredibly nice. ||The breakfast is amazing and you must try the buckwheat momo. The chili momo is delicious for lunch! The rooftop has a variety of food and drinks that are from local breweries and providers. ||We arrived in Nepal for 10 days- we discovered Barahi Jungle lodge on our second day and immediately adjusted our travel to stay at Barahi in Pokarah and Kathmandu. Barahi jungle lodge is a MUST - there are naturalists that will take you on jungle safaris in jeeps and boats, prepare wine and cheese or breakfast and coffee at different stops....Barahi Pokarah was near the lake and without walking distance of magical views if the mountain ranges.||Bikash at Barahi Jungle Lodge coordinated and arranged our arrival and reservations in Pokarah and Kathmandu - he is excellent, extremely knowledgeable and kind. ||Sabina at Barahi Kathmandu is absolutely awesome - she knew so much about Kathmandu, where to go, what to see...||We really, really look forward to returning. We came as a couple (European and Asian) and know both our families would really, really enjoy the hospitality. Every guest we met at Barahi said the same thing: everyone is incredibly nice and beyond helpful. ||Thank you all - we cannot wait...
Read moreFrom the moment I stepped into Hotel Bahari, I knew my stay in Kathmandu would be special. After days of traveling, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.
Over three nights, every detail exceeded my expectations. The staff’s attentiveness was impeccable—always kind, proactive, and ready to assist with a smile. Whether it was the front desk, housekeeping, or the restaurant team, their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction.
One of the standout aspects of my stay was the exceptional in-room dining service. The menu offered an impressive variety of dishes, each prepared with care and rich in flavor. But what truly set it apart was the team handling the orders—patient, courteous, and always ensuring a seamless experience. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of efficiency and warmth.
The laundry service was another pleasant surprise—quick, reliable, and fairly priced, making it an excellent convenience for travelers on the go.
And then came the breakfast buffet—undoubtedly the best I’ve had in my entire journey, including multiple hotels across India. Each morning, I was greeted with an incredible spread of fresh, high-quality dishes that catered to every palate. The attention to detail, from the flavors to the presentation, was nothing short of outstanding.
As I checked out, I couldn’t help but reflect on how seamlessly everything had come together—comfort, service, and culinary excellence all in one place. Kudos to the management for assembling such a stellar team. Their passion for hospitality is what makes Hotel Bahari a true gem in Kathmandu.
If you’re looking for more than just a place to stay—if you want an experience that feels like a home away from home, with exceptional service and world-class dining—Hotel Bahari is the place to be. Highly...
Read moreThis is an unsponsored review and a completely honest one. My stay was of 11 days, a long one when I was worried at staying a new chain but Barahi left me amazed. From getting an amazing deal(be sure to talk to the front desk instead of booking online for the best discounts and a room with a good view.) With a palace view, a spacious room, speedy room service and facilities like daily homemade cookies, a french press and an infinity pool, I was sold. But hospitality by Sabina Singh(who made sure to check in on me almost everyday and make me feel at home), ladies at the front desk Alzina, Nisha, Rozina who were humble and willing to listen to our concerns, humble hotel managers like Krishna(who offered his help wherever needed with a sweet smile) and the kindness of Bellboy Mahendra was unforgettable. Be sure to ask for these kind people when staying there.
The food itself was delicious, my recommendations go for the pasta(red sauce), the Indian main course(dals and chicken) as well as the consistently delicious breakfast (chocolate covered croissants, bacon, pav bhaji and noodles were our favourite) and be sure to ask for a fresh latte and mocha from the morning staff who were always humble.
Staff like Jharna, Urmila, Deviyani, Jit Simrik and Chefs Devraj, Santosh, Raj Kumar are your best bet at this restaurant with unparalleled service.
Be sure to stay on the 5th floor with the palace view and the night room service staff's smile and patience will make your experience even better. Would love to...
