Magnificent Hotel — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Magnificent in Nepal, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel’s name truly reflects the quality of service and accommodations provided.

Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, who were friendly and attentive throughout my stay. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, setting the tone for a comfortable and enjoyable visit.

The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, offering a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional Nepali touches. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after days filled with sightseeing. I particularly appreciated the stunning view from my window, which overlooked the scenic landscape, adding a serene backdrop to my stay.

One of the highlights of Hotel Magnificent is its on-site restaurant. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of both local and international dishes to choose from. The breakfast buffet was a delight, offering fresh and flavorful options to start the day right.

The hotel’s location is another strong point. Situated conveniently close to major attractions, it made exploring the city very easy. Despite its central location, the hotel maintained a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxation.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable. They were always available to assist with any requests and provided valuable recommendations for local sights and activities. Their genuine hospitality truly made a difference.

Before starting our trip, we inquired about airport pickup and special request. Hotel Manager, Mr Ganga immediately followed up with us on whatsapp.

As I was traveling with young kid and it was our first time trip to Nepal, I was worried about response from hotel but hotel pickup person was waiting outside the arrival and he even helped us to bring our lagguage to the car. Car driver was also very friendly and helpful.

Once, we reached we were greeted with Mr Ganga and his team. We were also offered coffee as welcome drinks. Room check in was swift and room was very clean. Wifi speed was fast everywhere including the room. I have shared the room video on my YouTube channel "SYLEWO".

The hotel location is not shown in man view option but it is right behind Faimount hotel. There is also a shortcut to go to Thamel street through car park of Chhaya center. The hotel is at quiet place but safe at night. The hotel is also right besides Garden of Dreams.

There was a good choice of breakfast, mainly tea, pratha, omlette, Aloo pratha, etc. We also ordered food items in our room, the service staff was very professional but courteous.

One good point is that the given tips are shared among whole team. Hotel also helped to book day trip at very reasonable rate, which is cheaper than online options. They also helped us to book our bus ticket from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

Few suggestions are that refrigerator can be kept switched on for the guest items. Milk pouches can be provided in the room for tea or coffee. Hotel may consider to offer paid taxi but there are plenty of taxi available outside.

The hotel is new and has everything you need. Rooms are spacious and has a luxurious touch to it.

They have a restaurant at the ground floor where the free breakfast is served. It is a great place to meet and mingle with other guests.

Room service is also available in case guests want to order from the restuarant.

Breakfast was buffet and has everything you need to start your day. Bread, rice, meat, veggies and fruits, juices and coffee/tea, cereals, pancakes etc.

The staff were amazing! Very friendly and will cater to every request you would have.

The location was perfect! Just a few minutes from the Thamel Square where the action is. (You can find a lot of Japanese, Korean, Chinese restaurants in the Thamel Square. Souvenir shops are also there.)

One-time pick up OR drop off from the airport is an added bonus that I have never experienced before and saved me effort and money.

Above all, the hotel manager, Mr Ganga is the best! He goes out of his way to make sure his guests feel welcomed, are comfortable, and having a great time.

I had a private tour on my second day, got lost somehow, and when I couldn't contact the driver, he went out of his way and picked me up in his scooter so that I could meet the driver.
