Really great open restaurant serving delicious locally sourced foods. Great for families or friends wanting to hang out, eat lunch or dinner together. Cutest thing was the little welcome sign with my name on our table. Their soups are great, home made bread is amazing, and we loved the desserts as well as the cookies! Service was also very attentive and friendly! The adjacent little shop features yummy veggies, sauces, cheeses, breads, pastries, sweets, and other great locally sourced gems. Highly recommend! Parking was kinda hard to find as Google Maps didn’t properly direct us there, but there is parking on the property. We went here with a large group of people for a work outing. Het Lokaal is basically a shop and simple eatery that sells and uses only local products, The dishes are very creative and beautifully presented; mostly vegan but they served a plate of meat and fish separately on each table, which I thought was an excellent to please all stomachs ;). I only found that they were a little bland in taste, as if more herbs could have been used (but that's very personal and depends on one's own taste buds). every mouthful was out of this world , and the little colourful tomatoes popped in your mouth and were just beautiful.

I had a Chai latte, which was also one of the best that I’ve had . It was accompanied with a little nutty cookie which was very tasty.

I would hardly recommend this restaurant...
