Sally’s Kitchen Amersfoort — Restaurant in Amersfoort

We just get out from this restaurant.. we went there for have dinner but we get treated with very rude because of we are 2 person but we only wanna order for a package meals with sate,nasi goreng, rendang,soto and some stuff (1 package for 39.50 euro) we wanna order that for us because we think if we order more or 2 package we can't finish since my fiance is Dutch and not so used to with Indonesian foods and I'm a Indonesian life at Netherlands...

But they said we need to order 2 package meals or order 1 more foods .. and they walk away and I heard the waitress (Indonesian guy) talk to another Indonesian guy with Indonesian language,they said "IF THEY DONT WANNA ORDER MORE DONT EAT HERE"

So I'm furius to heard that and I asking again to them with Indonesian language (this time coz I didn't speak any Indonesia language yet,they think I'm not Indonesian coz I'm Indonesian Chinese) I ask them with Indonesian language did we not allow to eat here even we order 2 drink and 1 set of meals cost 39.50 Euro ???? And he surprised and said yes not allow to eat here...

We really think this is ripoff restaurant and with rude service... If I'm not Indonesian and don't understand Indonesian languages maybe I still don't know get treated like this rude in a restaurant!!!

We traveling alot and I always went to every city in Netherlands for testing some Indonesian foods and I NEVER get this rules or get treated like this rude from any other restaurant before... We could spend 50 euro at there but they said "DONT EAT HERE"because they forced us to order more foods...

Expensive food, a staff was not nice. I came with 2 friends and my husband so we're 4 persons, already made reservation. I'm Indonesian (the only one Indonesian customer that time) and the waitress noticed me and asking me in bahasa. I ordered wine and either my friend but he only asking my friend about the wine what she wanted. He also interrupted so much about what menu we wanted, me and my husband were not really hungry then we ordered one menu but it's like rijstafel with a lot of kind dishes, but unfortunately the waitress said that it's so little and seemed that he didn't wanted us to order only one menu, but we also order extra bami and fried banana, and finally we ordered extra Ayam Panggang also to made him not involved so much anymore. Ayam panggang that we got only 2 small pieces and cost €14 without any complement, gebakken banaan cost €7 and only got 2 small pieces. Sate were good but also not really special. We also didn't get krupuk as the menu they showed (we ordered satay menu). Overall taste were good but not the best. I was so disappointed especially about the service. Never...

Unexpectedly had early dinner at Sally's with family. Mid to bigger size restaurant for city area. Walked from Amersfoort CS for about 7 minutes. They have various menu sets (similar to Rijsttafel). But we had ala carte. As stated on the card, they suggest you to order two loose items for one person. We were with 4 (2 kids and two adults), I ordered 3 items, 1 goat sate, one soup. All were yummy and delicious. For 4 adults, suggest to follow the advice. Or order the set menu. The waitress and waitresses were friendly and kind. They took action with lowering down music volume. Service time is comparable to standard Dutch or European restaurants, but this one with extra friendly service. Goat sate was the favorite. Mild and tasty. Chicken was really yummy.
