Bullewijck — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Just going to the restaurant down stairs from my room at Ozo Hotel did not prepare me for this. Sitting down, I thought this is just another hotel restaurant, but nothing could prepare me for what was placed in front of me. With a very simple menu of only six terms on the main course menu to select from, the meal was absolutely fantastic. Fine dining is a better word to describe my Roasted Baby Chicken. The flavours was amazing. I should have selected a good wine instead of a beer to give justification to this cuisine. The desert, a Crême-Brûlée, was however very disappointing compared I the main course. The texture was just completely wrong with a baking butter instead of smooth margarine like texture. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! The cappuccino was grand and was ordered a plethora of times. Best coffee too! Chicken sandwich was magnificent, as well as the soup and croissant. Probably the best cappuccino we had in our Europe trip through many countries like UK and France. Very good highly recommend if ur traveling in Amsterdam or if you just moved here and haven’t tried it… btw strawberry jam is mouth watering and delicious. Outside terrace is now looking at a construction place. Yes, they cannot help that, no that is not a good view. Inside is way to big for the amount of quests they get on a Tuesday evening. Also, seeing tubes and pipes and what not, does not appeal. Bathroom is clean, but would still say not good enough.

Might be everywhere else too, but almost 20 euro for a (vegetarian) hamburger with fries is just to high price.
