lovely joint to have run into, after a cold day out. no pretenses except awesomeness. indeed! at first, a glimpse to a passing boat caught my eye. then, the bar behind that glass window. good call! came in, warmed up and had a sip of prosseco. not as impressed with that BUT my stake & cheese sandwich was out of this world. a bit on the unconventional side, frankly. a STAKE sandwich is supposed to command aroma, size, flavor. well, fabulous flavors was what presented on my plate. amazing! i also ordered the french, thinking it would be more of a salad. nope! it was an unbelievable concoction a goodness sold as a sandwich. warm goat and maple syrup never tasted best on a fabulous wholewheat toast. yum

Regardless the staff are lovely and very friendly and the atmosphere is very chilled.
The cafe overlooks the canal and so you can seat by the window and relax with the view.
There wasn't much on offer in the menu for vegans apart from the homemade soups of the day.
I had the vegan carrot soup with some bread. I was given a large bowl of really warm soup which was lovely in a cold day of February. It was delicious and very filling.
