d&a hummus bistro — Restaurant in Amsterdam

This place is amazing and it’s the most favorite cafe in 30 sec from my home. Family place, lucky me to have it so close. You SHOULD eat here, food is amazing.

Though it hurts the most from the loved ones. After ordering 11 times from my delivery service account, 10+ times from another family account and eating physically in the cafe additionally ~10-15 more times in the past few years, I did what I usually do: no time to cook, let me call and ask to prepare the beloved food. Done. Will be there in 15 min, very busy. Arriving in 20 min. Ready to eat… “We couldn’t make your order”. Why? “Not possible. Plus your are late.” But I called and we did it 10 times before right? “Wrong.”

It’s difficult to earn the trust, it’s easy to loose it. To the manager who decided to stop our romance relationships - I don’t get it man. For the waiter who accepted the order though didn’t call to cancel it so I can rearrange the plans and eat somewhere else - why? I had an amazing experience here! I came because it called my attention that the three branches had such a high ranking, and this one was the closest. I understood why the ranking was so high, it totally deserves it! The food was outstanding, the best hummus dish I have ever had, and I have had a lot! The humus was super soft and tasty, and the meatballs really tasty as well. the dish had a sauce and an additional topping that made it outstanding! It came with pita bread that was fresh and warm, and with fresh salad. The price was not high, completely up to the quality and quantity of the food (the dish was big!) My partner and I had a wonderful dinner at D&A Hummus Bistro. The atmosphere was great and cheerful, truly a breath of the Mediterranean right in Amsterdam. Our waiter, Gal, took excellent care of us and thoughtfully suggested a tasting menu that let us enjoy a bit of everything — it was a perfect way to experience the rich, authentic flavors.

Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. To celebrate, they kindly offered us a small glass of arak — delicious and the perfect finish to the meal. The cozy, welcoming vibe combined with attentive service made the evening even more special. We’ll definitely be back!
