We originally came here for the steak tartare special sandwich, which still leaves me drooling for more in my sleep. I personally think steak tartare in general, is done poorly by many places; often getting different and weird textures that carry a slimy taste; however, Davie's version returns none of that. It has a consistent and smooth texture that truly carries the truffles alongside it, not overpowering it. Now let's move onto the pastrami.
Coming from NYC, a city that prides itself on its pastrami sandwiches, Davie's Lelie (pastrami) sandwich is to die for. It is the perfect bite and dare I say, the best pastrami sandwich I've ever had. The meat is tender and thicker than the typical pastrami I am used to, but it leaves you wanting another bite.
Our experience at the restaurant was excellent. David was so friendly and shared details of his creations with passion. We came as a group of 8 and he was so accommodating to us. He even let us try the salmon and the Coppa Iberico. David, truly hope the world gets to taste your sandwich and enjoy it as much as we...

It was gonna be a long Sunday and we were on a hunt for an "unforgettable brunch". We saw Davie's, were drawn in by glowing Google reviews, and took a leap of faith. And what a leap it was.
First up, the Lelie Pastrami sandwich with pickles—what a revelation! The pastrami, impossibly tender, melts in your mouth with an explosion of flavor that defies expectations. And the bread? As a true bread lover, I can confidently say it hit all the right notes. Light, crisp, and flavorful—this sandwich earns an undoubted 11/10.
We also tried the Classic Steak Tartare, with crispy potatoes. While it delivered solid flavor and texture, it didn’t quite reach the dizzying heights of the pastrami. A respectable dish nonetheless, clocking in at an 8/10.
Last, but not least, the staff—polite, efficient, and running a tight ship, which meant minimal wait time. All in all, Davie's is a place I wholeheartedly recommend and one I’m already...
Read moreLet me start off by saying that the employees are lovely and gave great service. I tried the lelie after having it on my culinary wishlist for a while. The sandwich was a quite a bit smaller than I expected for €13,- and I was mostly disappointed by the pastrami.
The meat was somewhat tender (have had better) but had chunks of tough, gummy fat throughout that made it hard to take a bite of the sandwich without pulling out the filling. I ended up removing the fatty bits by hand as much as I could because it was too tough to bite through. The person who made my sandwich offered to make me a new one but since the bread and condiments were okay it felt like a waste not to eat it.
All in all it's a cute spot, great service but for the hefty price you pay I'd...
