If you only have time for ONE thing in Amsterdam (even if you simply have a long enough layover): this NEEDS to be it! We had the absolute time of our lives transforming ourselves into famous Dutch masterpieces thanks to Sanders, the photographer/owner.
You will make spectacular lifelong memories having your portrait taken in perfectly replicated 17th century garb! Sanders did the most impressive job precise recreating the physical environment of his studio to accurately replicate the tiniest details of famous Dutch paintings, including those that were physically “inaccurately” represented by the artists exercising their “artistic license”. Usually I wouldn’t recommend listening to signs where businesses advertise themselves as “the best” in anything, but the sign in the window describing The Milkmaid Project as the “Best Art Experience in Amsterdam” is 100% accurate!

So there are ways to work around costume...
Read moreThis was a fantastic experience. Both beautifully educational and hilarious. Sander is a super talent who loves art, people and has worked tirelessly to recreate these master set ups. A world renowned photographer who is finally staying in one place and has dug into the amazing art history from his country. Was an honor to be in the room with him and see what an amazing place he's created. Both professional and yet feels like you're in a neighborhood cafe where the cast of characters come through to get mail and say hi. But amazing vibe aside, the photos were fantastic. Sander's sense of humor, zest for life and truly phenomenal photography skills sets this studio apart from anything like it (maybe in the world...) The price is beyond fair considering the kind of talent and...
