The shop is BEAUTIFUL! Gorgeous lighting and a comfortable space to sit and enjoy the vibe. Pastry offerings are diverse with croissants, cakes and breads. I chose the custard tart - it was fresh and filled to the brim with delicious creamy custard. The coffee was smooth yet bold. It instantly revived me and energized me to continue exploring this wonderful town. I loved all the photos of beautiful people enjoying coffee and I also loved the mini shelves where we can place our dirty dishes. The espresso machine and grinders are all beautiful and I left thinking that there are many aspects of this shop I would pilfer if I were to ever open my own shop. They control the vibe by stating no laptops on the communal table so that people can actually commune! Laptops can be used upstairs. I wish New York coffeeshops did this because a bunch of people using laptops changes the whole vibes into a cold workspace. Here people are interacting, laughing or reading! Totally warm, human...

Oh glory days, where art thou? Wandering into this good ol’ coffee haven, expecting to have at least a decent coffee. 1 sip later, disappointment is written all over my face. What happened? I’ll tell you what happened, competition is what happened. With a wealth of real coffee places emerging in the city, this place has lost its identity and has forgotten to develop and renew itself for their customer. The girl behind the counter even mentioned that the snacks have changed and are no longer supplied by Holtkamp (yikes). Unfortunately coffee tastes bad. The flat white and americano were tasted. Flat white; the coffee tastes tart and the coffee bean too oily/greasy. Americano; way too greasy, coffee tart, leaves teeth looking stained, not pleasant. Bye bye Koffiesalon, thanks for the good ol’ days, good luck...

Cute cafe and the egg tarts were yummy. Reason for the low rating is because my friend came to order coffee and was told that because the dishwasher was broken, we'll be served in Togo cups instead. That's fine.

We stood around chatting and after a while, we noticed our drinks and tart wasn't ready and this was close to 10 minutes, but saw people order order and leave, but where's ours? My friend inquire and was told that the order never made it from the till to their order screen, so it wasn't made. So the staff stood there and couldn't figure out why 2 people that ordered continue to stand there standing? Obviously common sense was not there. Unfortunately, we never came back during our stay from around the corner and frequented another...
