Do not eat here. They will try to lure you in and make false promises like “if you don’t like it you don’t have to pay for it” and then give you completely sub-par food and really terrible dessert and argue with you after they made you wait for 10-20-30 minutes. The staff were rude, inattentive and unhelpful. Very hard to get a hold of our waiter and when we did it was very hard to communicate our displeasure with the food. When the waiter first came by I thought they asked “was it good” to which I said “no sorry” and they walked off. We thought it was strange, after a while, an hour, (the waiter walked past us multiple times and glanced at us and at one point looking at their phone.) they finally stopped by where we again informed them that we did not like the food, she said something none of quite heard and wakes off, we thought they might get the cook, manager or anyone but no. We didn’t see them again, 30 minutes goes by and a new waiter appears we tell them the same tale we told the last one, a bit of back and forth and they take our plates. (In retrospect we should’ve taken a picture of the food) And then we waited again. Then a man comes out and tries to convince us that it was our fault because we didn’t say anything earlier(we tried) and that the food was half eaten. (I had two bites of that awful red velvet cake and gave a taste to my friends to have them confirm that there was definitely something wrong with it. Because the waiters were so slow the ice cream and cream melted.) He was so unhelpful and rude, we ended up paying for the mid food and got one dessert taken off the bill. I’ve never experienced such disgusting service anywhere. When we were leaving we saw another touristy couple and we warned them to not eat there. To which the same man came up to me and told be that what we did was disgusting to which I replied that what he did making us pay for that food that and with that service was disgusting. I do not care if I’m blacklisted from that place because I truly believe they shouldn’t be up and running.

Do not eat here, I cannot stress this enough.

We walked around the square looking for outside seating with heat lamps & found this cute place for dinner so stopped in. The staff was quick to get you in, get your drink order right way. We wanted a lite dinner so we ordered the goulash soup, Caesar salad & appetizer of stuffed mushrooms. My husband & I wanted to share it. We sat waiting for 40 minutes & watched 3 new tables get their food before we did and they had steaks and larger meals??? Our waiter never came to check on us since we gave our order. We tried flagging 3 waiters down but they never come over until we got up to ask one of them if they lost our order? Because these 3 new tables already had their food & they were right next to us on the patio. We had soup & salad so that can’t take long? He came back & said another 10 minutes. So now it’s 45 minutes waiting, no more drinks or contact. Once we finally got our meal the other tables had left and the waiter said they were short on staff.. Hummm ok we will run with that. It was a Tuesday evening & not packed. Oh well, we enjoyed our meal quickly & left. Service is key… we understand things happen in this industry but don’t lie to us. Offer a drink or dessert or simply say sorry we lost your order or forgot to put it in. Unfortunately that left a bad experience for us. "Where's my peppercorn sauce? Where's your sauce, WHERE'S MY MEAL!?" The service was terrible with food arriving as though it was being served in courses and some just not arriving! Course 1: Meat, 10 minutes later course 2: chips 10 minutes after that the wrong sauce placed on the table with nothing left to dip it in. And for dessert you get a rude waitress offering free coffee "just for you"... except my Dutch isn't great and it turns out "free" means I will stand over you and ensure you write a good review in exchange for a coffee! This also is 1 coffee per 1 review. What started with bribery ended with blackmail as we were pressured to write reviews with Big Brother watching over our shoulders. Very 1984 by George Orwell if you ask me. Having asked for the bill, we wanted to split payments for the party, we were told this would not be possible as it was already in the system. Although maybe they could do it in 2 or even 3 payments. All I could do was wonder if 2 or 3 payments were possible then surely it could be 4 or 5 and maybe it could cover the whole table.
