Effendy - Rozengracht Lahmacun Cafe — Restaurant in Amsterdam

This place is mindblowing! 😁 We are Turks and after seeing highly rated lahmacun place, we wanted to have an authentic experience before leaving Amsterdam. Generally, it is hard to find a lahmacun place that would taste original TR lahmacun in Europe. lt is adopted version always as same with kebaps, döners etc. This place again not serving 100% original lahmacun at all, that you typically would be served in Turkey, but the closest if you consider it without sauces. They have classic, kebap, cheese, spinach options. ln TR, we have only one type of lahmacun, the classic one, served with fresh persley, onions, hot red pepper flakes and lemon. But for the first time in my life l saw Dutch people popping up here and desperately asking for any lahmacun they would get! 😁😁 Even spinach was sold out! What is spinach lahmacun no idea and couldn’t try it. Next time! Because the store is closing at 8 pm, we arrived around 7.15 pm, we waited such a long queue, and get our lahmacun around 8 pm, they let us dine in and kept the store open. Normally, it is a tiny place with limited tables, people waits in the queue outside, they eat outside 😂 These guys somehow rocks it in Amsterdam! The ratio of taste to price is the best in the world. I would defend this assertion against anyone.

This could cost 50% more, and it would still be a 10/10. I don't know how they make it this cheap while it tastes this good. A literal 11/10.

Excellent service as well. Would love to eat here again, sadly they're closed for the next two weeks the day after i first try this amazing food.

A unicorn - I doubt I'll ever eat something so great for so cheap again. Will be what I compare every other food under 25€ to and think "It wasn't as good as that turkish pizza I ate in Amsterdam".

They even understand the difference between pride, and arrogance. Knowing you are the best whilst staying humble. Respectful, kind, smart and considerate. Hence the 11/10, the service is fantastic.

When I visit Amsterdam again, I'll eat here every damn day. Buy the kebab pizza, it is amazing.
