The true highlight of the evening, however, was when I decided to propose to my girlfriend during the cruise. Neptune, being the amazing person he is, went out of his way to help me create the most romantic and memorable proposal imaginable. He found the perfect spot on the canal, dimmed the lights on the boat, and even played our favorite song in the background. It was a moment straight out of a fairy tale, and I cannot thank him enough for his role in making it happen. To top it all off, the dinner served on board was absolutely delicious. The Boat Boys had prepared a gourmet meal that was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. It was the perfect complement to an already incredible evening. This excursion was uniquely special! We opted for a two-hour tour with dinner and drinks for just the two of us. The boat itself was a marvel...beautifully restored, cozy, comfortable, incredibly clean and it provided a romantic and fun ambiance for my husband and me. It was a version of a canal "progressive dinner". On our tour, we pre-ordered an outstanding meal and very nice wines. We would pull up to the different restaurant docks and waitresses were right there to hand us our foie gras, and then our piping hot and perfectly cooked filet of beef. The quality, flavor and presentation were outstanding. Our guide provided us with an interesting, detailed and upbeat commentary throughout the tour. And we still can't get over how beautiful the saloon boat itself was. Good fun, good food and wonderful memories are what we took away from this canal...

Our first trip to Amsterdam, and wanted to make sure to do a canal cruise. Since we had a group of six, the Boatboys seemed like the perfect way to enjoy the canals of Amsterdam. Though there are other cheaper ways to cruise the canals, booking a private boat simply cannot be beat.

Communication was amazing, and Carl and Robertino were extremely flexible in meeting our needs. They even picked us up at a location closer to our hotel. The cruise itself was simply fantastic, and Carl was an amazing host and tour guide. I cannot recommend the Boatboys enough.

The best tip I could share would be to add an extra host. Since we were on the Ritz, the boat layout was such that the driver was a bit too far from our seating area in the back of the boat. Having the extra host was worth every penny, and Carl...
