We popped into Freddy’s to shelter from the rain and take a moment to write postcards to our friends back home. We sat at the bar overlooking the canal and had a great time people watching. We had two large heinekens and were given complimentary olives and nuts. The olives were divine! The bar is steeped in history and has strong ties to the Heineken family. We want to go to the sister bar “chapters” when we return to Amsterdam. It is speakeasy vibes and celebrates literary icons - sounds amazing!
