Annapurna Restaurant is a delightful little spot in Amsterdam that offers authentic Nepalese cuisine.
The menu at Annapurna is diverse and offers a range of options for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. The dishes are expertly prepared and bursting with flavor, making it hard to choose just one favorite. Some standout dishes include the momos, a Nepalese version of dumplings that are light, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, and the dal bhat, a traditional Nepalese meal that features lentil soup, rice, and vegetables.
In addition to the delicious food, the service at Annapurna is excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to offer recommendations and answer any questions you may have.
While the restaurant itself is on the small side, it adds to the intimate and cozy atmosphere. The only downside is that it can get quite busy, so be sure to make a reservation if you're planning to visit during peak hours.

Read moredecent place for a curry. Visited on a weekend, and the restaurant wasn't too busy but not empty - we made a reservation beforehand.
ordered: momo meat dumplings for starter, lamb korma, chicken korma, mango lassi and the naan that had cheese and garlic. The restaurant also gave us some poppadoms on the house.
momo: normal - nice as usual but nothing too special. a bit dry on the inside as there werent any juice inside the dumpling compared to other restaurants ive tried.
mango lassi: not as sweet so I liked it.
korma: nice as I'd expect but not as buttery as another restaurant I've been to and I liked it more buttery. curry comes with a portion of rice. Curry portions seem small but as theyre curry, it fills you up quite quickly. Curries are served on top of a heating plate to keep it warm.
Naan: very nice. not as fresh as another restaurant ive been to but still nice. loved the cheese and garlic. no corriandor (or because i told them not to add it). The naan was the...

Had dinner here whilst on holiday with my family- we're Indian and always end up missing Indian food if without it for too long.
The seekh kebab was the best I've ever had, the mixed grill of tandoori chicken and chicken momos and the veg thali was also really tasty. The chicken biryani was also really good; large pieces of chicken and a very generous portion (slight criticism- found the addition of mint a bit strange). The naan bread was the exact right texture and not chewy. They catered to our dietary needs- vegetarian, no seafood, gluten-free and a request of no nuts.
The server was lovely, really attentive and served us promptly. Nice interior too. It's a small restaurant so probably need to book ahead at...
