I have been to Hannah's twice, the first time being maybe a year ago, and the second time being now.
The first time was a pleasant experience, but unfortunately, they have really gone down in quality. It was very busy, and there was only one waitress, who clearly had too much on her plate. She was very sweet and helpful, but unable to manage the whole floor by herself.
We ordered an omelette on sourdough and grilled vegetables and a focaccia with cheese, artichoke, and a chestnut-mushroom mix.
It took an hour and 15 minutes from the moment we came in until our food came. The omelette was nice, but the grilled vegetables were mushy and the toast was burnt. The focaccia had whole artichokes on it which was a bit much, and the chestnut-mushroom mixture was just straight up missing.
For what you get, it is also just too expensive now. The previous time (same prices but higher quality) it was worth the price.
They are nice people so I do not have the heart to give 2 stars even though my experience was certainly not worth more than that. But I really hope they bounce back. If so, I will revisit and...
Read moreEverything is very tasty and the staff is amazing (although it took one hour until we got what we ordered) and the place looks nice... But the prices are ridiculous. Amsterdam is an expensive city, we know, but we spent around 40€ per person and all of us ended up having to have dinner again at our houses (but only because the kebab place was already closed). A small pinsa can't cost 15€, there are places like Porchetteria where you have a much bigger and tastier one for the same price. The hummus was already 19€ but it is soooo small you have to add an extra which is between 5€ and 8€... And still the plate is far from being a main course as they say it is... Again, the food is delicious (the desserts are mind blowing), but I don't think we'll ever be coming back cause we felt a bit scammed by...
Read moreBrunch menu was super disappointing. It is hard to understand how this place has gotten a 4.9 rating so far. The waitress had a passive-aggressive attitude and difficulty properly explaining the menu. 42 EUR for a 2-person brunch menu and all you got was a mix of canteen-quality bread-heavy sides with either yoghurt or Shashuka presented on a piece of wood. The pancakes were mediocre and the advertised mascarpone came in a microdose - nowhere near enough to compensate for the dryness of the pancakes. Recommendation: explain your dishes better + let clients choose individual dishes instead of forcing them to choose either menu 1 or 2 + improve on the...
