Heck's Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

My girlfriend surprised me with a Dine&Dance ticket. We want just to eveluate here the restaurant part. The club evaluation you can find separately on the Escape webpage.

We arrived at the entry where we a nice staff member brought us to our table. She was explaining us in detail how the Dine&Dance ticket work out. We spent for each ticker 59,- € which included a 3 meal course and a cocktail.

She: Drinks: Long Island Ice Tea (a bit to much ice) and white wine (this needed to paid extra) Starter: Goat Cheese, this was unbelievable delicious Main: Chicken Teriyaki, super tender but a little bit to salty Dessert: Creme Brulee, on point.

He: Drinks: Po**star Martini (one word: OMG) and Margarita Strawberry (this needed to paid extra but was sooo good) Starter: Buratta, this was just perfect Main: Rib Eye, I asked for Medium but it was more like Medium Rare but still good. I ordered extra fries which needed tp pay extra. Dessert: Creme Brulee, on point.

The food was just amazing. The price for it was worth it. All food was given in prefect timing. The ambiente was beautiful, amazing lightning. The music (DJ) was perfect and gives you the feeling for a good club night. Even the DJ in the restaurant was way better than in Escape Club. All staff member and the manager was really nice to us. One negative point are just the toilets. If you owning such a nice restaurant you need to keep as well the toilets nice.

All in all it was perfect night for my girlfriend and me.

There was a woman who was really rude about the fact we wanted to change our drink because it was to strong. They just gave us some sugar water and strawberry juice to fix it ourselfs. And the woman said to her colleagues “ Let them figure it out by their selfs” (laten ze het maar zelf uitzoeken). This happend while all four of us heard it. When we tried to explain we just wanted a new glass and that we didn’t like the way she said it. She raised her voice a little bit out of frustration while we just wanted to be helped in a normal way. It was really rude and unprofessional. I don’t recommend to go here when there is a woman manager (white)with brown/blonde hair. And hair in a knot. If you want a good service with good food. Dont go here. Their rude and...

Came here on a Saturday night and was very disappointed.

Staff were rude and impatient, even when it wasn't busy. I didn't come to be ignored and treated like I'm bothering them, but that's what I got.

Crowd was very mixed between old and young, almost entirely male, and overall a pretty strange vibe. Music was OK, nothing special.

They charge you for everything, which is pretty annoying. 1.50 for item check, 50 cents for each trip to the bathroom, on top of 16 Euros for entrance. Drinks at the bar were also definitely on the expensive side, and if you want a table you must buy a bottle which starts at around 200 Euros and goes up to several thousand. Maybe it's all meant to feel like a premium experience but it just isn't.
