Latei — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I'm glad and surprised to had found this spot in the very heart of Amsterdam center. You'll see a lot of locals coming in, their service is super nice and welcoming. Products are good and prices are convenient.

It's a perfect spot for winter, so cozy a bit retro, a hit random decorations, lights dizzying. I love the atmosphere and background music. It's the vibe of one type of the Amsterdamers center people. A bit artistic people, just people who lives around and get their routines going by through this place, a lot of known loyal clients and other people who as me just come back because like the whole thing.

Super recommended it They make sandwiches with my favorite bread in Amsterdam, Hartog's bread and their Juices, sweet and menu is good. I just don't recommend the chai late, but all the other coffees and drinks are good.

I've been a couple times and plan to keep... I work from my laptop very confortable from here. Note: I don't have problems with people chatting and music, I like it, the waitress are super nice and helpful....

I love Latei! It's interesting how a place can be so weird and cozy at the same time! The employees are always sweet and polite, and the location couldn't be better.

Also, they have several vegan and lots of vegetarian options, which is amazing, even more if you compare it to the offer in the surroundings.

The sandwiches are fine, and also their tees and coffies are super. However, if there's something remarcable for me is their homemade quiche and cakes. Believe me, I have never tried a quiche so good and tasty!!

On the other hand, I must say they are sometimes a bit slow. So if you are in a rush, probably you can pick a piece of cake on the go. But if you are looking for a place where to read or have a peacefull chat with your friends......

I ordered a cheesecake with fresh raspberries through the internet for my girlfriends birthday cake and had my fingers crossed going only off of reviews and David and the rest of the crew at Latei 115% delivered. The ambience and the vibe is perfect and I the collection of buyable vintage is outstanding. These guys are doing everything right.

Believe me when I say as a New Yorker it is one of the best cheesecakes you'll ever eat. I'm not even a sweets guy and couldn't help of thinking about the FRIENDS episode where Rachel and Chandler are fighting over the cheesecake. Order a latte and a slice of the cheesecake and get the fix you never knew you were...
