Lebkov & Sons Roeterseiland — Restaurant in Amsterdam

This review is maybe 6 months too late - I asked for a splash of oat milk in my Kenya filter coffee, and it was curdled (sour taste, cloudy appearance, rank smell). When I asked the barista for a new coffee, they used the same carton of oat milk to pour curdled oat milk (yet again) into my new coffee. Then I asked for a refund and threw the coffee away. A person who appeared to be the manager told me I was imagining the curdled oat milk, even after I had showed them both cups of coffee with the spoiled oat milk. In fact, they did not change the carton of spoiled oat milk and continued to serve other customers with it.

Six months later, I still haven't received any refund, even though I had left my IBAN and mobile number with the barista. They did not respond to my email asking them to take food safety seriously. For such high prices and proximity to the UvA, I had expected better...

I bought banana Bread and when I wanted to eat it when I was at home, I found out that there was white mold in the bread, also the other piece was old and dry…

When I got a matcha latte two days later I told the personnel girl about it, she only said that she would tell the manager and didn’t offer me any coulance or new bread or something, she didn’t wanted to listen to my feedback clearly and looked away and went on with my order, which seemed like she wanted me gone as soon as possible…… I found it very rude. I was kind and polite the whole time, which I didn’t get back from her, as she seemed to find it annoying that I spoke my feedback to hear.

Also, apparently you can not trust that they check their bread before giving it to you? …

Really disappointed and maybe I won’t go...

I don't often leave reviews, but I just couldn't resist with the experience I had today. One of the workers (tall man with a slight british accent and shell necklace) went out of the way to make sure my chai latte was ready within seconds. Not only did it tantalise my taste buds, but it was lukewarm temperature, just how I like it. I'm not sure if he was the manager, however I'm very sure that I will be coming back again. Thank you tall British man with a shell necklace, because of you, I will be dreaming of your chai latte for the rest...
