Granted it was a very wet March evening in Amsterdam and so the coziness that hit us when we entered was lovely. We choose to sit upstairs on the entresol and it was wonderful. The candlelit restaurant creates a magical atmosphere. It is quirky because you expect typical French dishes to match the interior but the menu is mixed (Spanish, French, Indonesian, Thai etc. ) and suits all tastes. The team running it all are young and enthusiastic. I suppose the secret to their success is that they keep it simple…but with attention to detail. I saw someone on here complain that the menu is limited as if that is a bad thing. A select menu is the hallmark of a good restaurant. Here they are focused on a handful of things that they do very very well. I prefer that over a place with 50 things on the menu and they do none of them particularly well. Food we had was the chorizo sausage, shrimp, and fondue (which we could not finished). I might order another chorizo to dip in the cheese!! Yum....
