Cantarell Weesperplein B.V. — Restaurant in Amsterdam

This was a very close walk from our hotel at the Hyatt. The food and service was fantastic! He was a young server that I wasn't able to catch his name but he was quick and tried to explain things in English as there was no English menu. We ordered the spicy chicken with salad. He even let us try the chicken and it was so yummy before we ordered. We had the loaded fries with pork (more of a middle Eastern dish but equally as yummy), and I had the sweet and sticky garlic glazed barbecue ribs with rice. He gives the option for rice, fries or salad for the mains. That caramelized onions in our mains was out of this world. All in all, our order with 2 waters was €40. Definitely worth a visit and will be back in the next few days!

I only ordered Wiener schnitzel and stil water (they said we don’t give tap water. Ok. Anyway). They also brought me mayo which I didn’t order (they didn’t ask) and it was on the plate as if a part of schnitzel but when to pay, they took both the prices of mayo and the deposit for the stil water I drank. Can you imagine? They got extra money for the bottle. Why? First, they don’t ask if I want mayo and second, they got the deposit for the water which I already paid for it. The food tasted good, the price is nice, but the order experience is not the best, also I suspect their food caused indigestion to my wife later that evening. We haven't eaten anything else that day.

When you order something the chef just goes to do something without responding anything. Later you'll realize that he cooks your food. On the midway he'll take your pay.
