Incredibly disappointed in my experience today at the Local Dealer. Had high expectations, like high. 5 star rating- so must be good?! Really hope today was just a bad day- like we all have them :-)
But at the end of the day, dude come on.
Pros: The decor and branding is amazing and super spot on! Whoever did that mad props for that! Staff is friendly but you can clearly see there is a communication and organization issue on food tickets and what has been ordered.
Cons: The overall experience and service: Prices on the menu and the website are different (which isn't a big deal but still) It was clear that the waitress lost our ticket, as she kept asking us if we ordered or not. (Like hello this isn't dejavu we ordered atleast 20 minutes ago and gave you the ticket by hand). I ordered a coke with ice (which I'm not asking for a Ramos Gin Fizz guys- nothing so complicated)- it took me half an hour to get it. I asked the waitress twice if it's on its way- 1st time she said it's on its way the second time she said they are working on it ( are you carving ice cubes individually?) -We kept getting other tables food. These things happen, but five times in like a span of ten minutes?
Food: -It's also important to note there weren't many tables before us, and we ordered almost as soon as we sat down. We waited atleast an hour for our tacos. We ordered the poor excuse for nachos that I still can not believe they charged us 9 euros for. They were stale (At that point I just would have preferred Doritos nachos and call it a day), it came with salsas that don't think really qualify for actual salsa. The "guac" or whatever it is has a super bright green color- which makes you question how homemade is this. Tasted like something you would get from albert heijn when you have the munchies. Sprinkled with onions and tomatoes. The description on the menu definitely sounded amazing but in real life not so really. Seemed like an instagram vs reality type of thing.
-Ceviche was incredibly acidic (which I love ceviche, if I can have a middle name it would be ceviche- and as someone who travelled through South America- I def know what a good ceviche is- but this was almost unbearable)
-Tacos- after waiting for more than hour and nearly eating my arm (hangry me is not fun) They were good, but also you can clearly tell they've been waiting for departure for a long time, as the taco shell was incredibly soggy already and meat was cold. **however if all things were perfect they def have the ingredients for an amazing taco- I do have to say the sauces and the extras in the carne asada was amazing! Please make more magic like that.
I'm from NYC and travelled through Mexico I def know good tacos. But also, I know and have experienced amazing service- this just was not it unfortunately. I never want to do this but I so want to pull a Karen and speak to the manager, today's experience was...

I recently visited local dealer food, hoping to enjoy a delicious taco meal. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. From start to finish, there were several issues that left me disappointed and frustrated.
First and foremost, the wait time was incredibly long. This resulted in a significant delay, causing inconvenience and impatience among the customers.
Furthermore, the orders themselves were consistently messed up. The ingredients and drinks didn’t match what I had requested, leading to a disappointing and unsatisfying dining experience. It was disappointing to see a lack of attention to detail and accuracy in the food preparation process.
Perhaps the most disheartening aspect of my visit was the encounter with the manager. After sharing my concerns and frustrations regarding the long wait and incorrect orders, the manager’s response was shockingly rude and unprofessional. Not only did I not receive an apology for the inconveniences caused, but their dismissive attitude only compounded my disappointment.
As a customer, I believe it is essential to feel valued and respected. Unfortunately, my experience fell short in this regard. I genuinely hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issues raised, particularly the unprofessional behavior of their manager.
In conclusion, my visit was marred by a lengthy wait, inconsistent orders, and a discourteous manager. I cannot recommend this establishment based on my experience. I hope that they take the necessary steps to improve their service quality and customer...
Read moreA good place with decent food, amazing service and good atmosphere. We reserved a place prior to coming because we read that it would be rather busy. To that, yes it was busy. The whole restaurant was packed soon after we arrived (1940 on thursday).
Service was very swift, warm and welcoming. Although it was definitely a notch more welcoming here than any other place (of this price range) I have ever been. The atmosphere, well, not much to say, it felt mildly like a diner to me. Not sure how a mexican place is supposed to look like, so I can't say much on this front. Overall, we love the service and the atmosphere was good, because we can speak and hear ourselves speak, while we cannot hear others (thus, good acoustics).
Food was relatively good. We had 2 dishes of vegetarian tacos, i recommend the mushroom one over the squash one, which was a tad too sweet for me. We had 2 cocktails, the hibiscus sour and tiki tepeche (?), the latter was definitely better, in our opinion. Then came the chicharron (roasted pork belly) and birria quesadilla. Both are very nice. The pork belly was soft and moist, albeit the corners were a bit burnt and i did not exactly enjoy that because they were dry, as they were meat parts. I was a bit sad that it was skin on pork belly because if the skin was crispy, that would have been better... The birria itself was also good. Albeit I liked the toppings more than the mildly burnt quesadilla, which gave a bit of a bitter taste. NOW. I obviously don't know how traditional Mexican food is supposed to be like, so my opinion with the food ends here.
Overall, decent-good food, amazing service and very good...
