Welcome to Kassbar, Amsterdam's epic cheese temple where the staff greet you like a long-lost friend—even if you waltz in without a reservation. They might not have a crystal ball, but they sure know how to make your cheesy dreams come true with their magical conveyor belt of dairy delights.
The waitstaff here are like cheese whisperers, guiding you through an extensive fondue and cheese menu that could make a grown man weep with joy. Go for the combination plate of five or seven cheeses, and their chef will curate an assortment so divine it might make you believe in miracles.
If you’re in the mood for a fondue feast, make a reservation. But if you’re the spontaneous type, don’t worry—just stroll in, and they’ll still treat you like royalty. The Dutch cheeses are so good you'll be moo-ing for more, whether you’re into mild or wild, goat or blue.
The truffle fondue? It’s a showstopper. And the cheese platter is so decadent, it might just induce a tear or two. This place takes cheese seriously—so seriously that I’ve never consumed so much dairy in one sitting in my life.
Pair all this cheesy goodness with their thoughtfully selected wines, fresh bread, salami, and fruit, and you’ve got a dining experience so cheesy delightful, even your taste buds will be...
Read moreI came across Kaasbar on Instagram. As the pictures looked stunning I decided to give it a try. I went there with my partner but it was quite different compared to the Instagram page. Points for the marketing team ⭐️ As we were being showed to our seats I noticed that it was kind of dirty and dark. Crumbs on tables although the place was well staffed and quite empty. The bathroom didn’t have soap and the cleaning chart in there was empty, sign that it wasn’t been cleaned in a long time. I didn’t complain about it but some guy did, and it took the team around half and hour to bring the soap. They bought soap from a nearby store, they didn’t have an stock for this matter. Because it was taking so long, one of the team members got impatient and started rushing the other team member that was handling the situation. Because of that there was an unpleasant atmosphere, especially since we were sitting next to the bathroom. Service was great, we were told some insights about what to order and it was fast. We ordered 5 cheeses but one of the old ones had a huge rim, it was very hard to handle around the plate. With the drinks and some additional grapes the grand total was €80 which I think is not worth it solely because of what the place looked like and the cheese was not...
