Restaurant Black Olive Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Went with my family to Black Olive today since their other restaurant was fully reserved. Ordered the mixed grill, and lamb adana. The mixed grill came with 1 lamb chop, chicken, lamb skewer, and lamb meatball. Can't go wrong with lamb chop. I'm usually picky with chicken, but the chicken was just right, juicy and not dry. The lamb skewer is hard to make in my opinion, most of the time it is too tough; it was a tad hard, but the flavor was amazing. For the lamb adana, it was a little dry, but was well seasoned. The entrees all came with a side of rice. I've had that type of rice before, but I'm not sure what they did to their rice; it had more flavor like chicken soup maybe but yet was a settle flavor, can't explain it. Ended the meal with baklava which I would say is comparable to all other places I've been to. I would go back to this restaurant if I Iived here for the amazing food (I can live on the rice!), and because service was one of the best I've ever had. Really nice place with a beautiful space. We came as a big group of 29 people and the food came at a perfect time. We had a menu which was delicious and the starters were really good. The rest of the food was amazing too. My personal favorite thing was that the water is cool and free and you can ask for it as many time as you need. The service was really amazing and our teachers even got a offered a coffee on the house which is very pleasant and the staff was extremely nice and welcoming. You could also talk with the people sitting with you at the table without having to shout and it was very charming and a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. What a great place! The decor was fresh and intimate yet homely which is why I guess this is the place to go. The food was very well seasoned and was obviously cooked using quality ingredients. We ordered a 1 person starter (a very generous potion) and a main course to share (also a very generous potion) which consisted of various dips (tuna salad, humus, calamari, fresh basket of breast, patat bravas).
