honestly, i’m quite disappointed with this restaurant. first of all, by looking at pictures, their website, and many things i saw and read online, you’re led to believe you’ll be dining in the actual kitchen and watching the chefs make fresh pasta. so i thought it would be a cool experience to take my friends who were visiting amsterdam only for the weekend. But, when we got there we realized it’s not a kitchen but a super normal looking restaurant (like casual, not romantic, no music, nothing like that- just tables) and you CAN NOT see them making any of the pasta or food. you can’t see the kitchen at all. ANDDDDDD they have no alcohol!! no wine !! no cocktails or anything at all. so for a group of friends on a friday night it was not ideal and i feel like they should state somewhere that they don’t serve alcohol. we would have enjoyed wine with our pasta. so anyways we just felt quite misled and let down. the pasta was pretty good but nothing crazy in my opinion, and at 8:30 they were out of the main pasta we wanted so we had to choose...
Read moreI went there after reading so many positive reviews about hand made pasta here. The service was excellent as the staff was very welcoming and explaining the menu in details to us (maybe because we were the only group there). He even remade one ravioli to compensate for the one I dropped on the table. The food quality was decent although I expected more. It was hard for me to tell the taste of the fresh pasta. We ordered the buffalo mozzarella on grilled sweet potatoes, a duck lasagna and a ricotta cheese spinach ravioli. The mozzarella tasted fresh together with the sweet potatoes. The ravioli tasted light, fresh and balanced while the lasagna looked a bit pale, and tasted quite heavy. I wished the lasagna had a bit of acidity of the tomato to counter its richness. The tiramisu was the only dessert option. It tasted nice and gave a positive ending to the meal. I prefer a lady finger base to this sponge cake for a bit of crunchiness. Overall Salvatorica has a lot of potential but I feel the store could have done more to make its...
Read moreSalvatorica is a delightful spot for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine. The handmade pasta is absolutely fantastic—perfectly cooked and paired with a lovely sauce that complements the dish beautifully. The flavors are well-balanced and truly delicious, showcasing the care and skill put into every plate. The tiramisu is another highlight—rich, creamy, and wonderfully satisfying, making it the perfect way to end the meal. However, the only downside to my visit was the environment, which had a noticeable disinfectant smell. While it’s understandable to prioritize cleanliness, it slightly detracted from the otherwise cozy and inviting atmosphere. Despite this, the food was exceptional, and the service was warm and attentive. I’d still recommend Salvatorica for its incredible food and authentic Italian flavors—it’s a great dining...
