The meat served at this place was really of bad quality and/or badly cooked. The pices of meat served were as hard as rock and full of ligaments and hard thick fat that I got jaw pain after trying to chew it. It was evident that they served low quality meat to reduce cost however the price you pay for it is as equal as the one at a better rodizzio style restaurant. The side dishes are also below average, e.g broccoli was overcooked and casave was perhaps from the day before as it was not anymore crispy and tasty plus cold. It was quite disappointing as you expect good quality meat from a rodizzio, they did try to season the meat as much as they could to improve the taste however the meat texture was disastrous and evident of cheap meat. The meat was so bad that we ended up going better for the chicken and pineapple, which were good. The service was also below average, as soon as we arrived, servers will pass by multiple times without serving any meat or explaining what you need to do to get them serve you meat. Also, nobody comes to get your order for drinks after you arrive, so you wait and wait or just try to search for someone willing to serve. Lastly the way how they serve meat is a bit inappropriate, only one tweezer is available for one table so people get sharing the same greasy tweezers between them all the time; also when the person comes to cut the meat if a piece of meat falls in the table he just pick it up and put it in a random plate, plus other behaviours which are not ideal for a restaurant of this kind. The only good think I found here was the flan which was delicious. However, you do not go to rodizzio Restaurant to eat flan. Lastly, why would you force your customers to add tips? This is not the US, and employees should be paid fairly, not relying on customer tips. Definitely, not...
Read moreI had dinner there couple of times already and it was amazing. The only reason writing this review is to call out that one waiter who (almost) ruined our evening. I brought some friends over last night to experience the Brazilian Rodizio. The main waiter that showed us to our table was already a bit aggressive and cold from the beginning. After taking at least 20 mins to come take our order and almost as much for the drinks to arrive, I asked him where was my cocktail as I was the only one without a drink. Note here that also our drinks arrived one by one. He immediately told me aggresively "did you make an order" and when i told him I'm still waiting for my first drink that i ordered with him he turned to me asking me to calm down and to not be aggressive. Luckily he didn't serve us again until the end of our dinner and everything went amazing after that. At the end, my friend went to pay as she wanted to offer the dinner. She is Italian and she doesn't speak fluently English. Not only he charged her double the amount of what we have, when we realized what happened and we went back to ask for a refund he immediately left the counter and didn't even apologized for his mistake. This guy almost ruined our night and for sure annoyed us with his lack of respect and professionalism. Its a pity because the place is really amazing and the food is delicious. All the rest of the staff were amazing, warm and helpful and is really sad that their colleague is ruining the atmosphere for people, I really hope it was a bad day for him and not his usual way of service. I will definitely be back there but for sure try to avoid been served by...
Read moreI’ve been to Samba Kitchen three times and used to hold it in high regard, but my last visit completely changed my view. The concept is great: a taste of Brazilian rodizio at a relatively affordable price. You don’t expect premium cuts for the price, but that’s fine because you feel like you’re getting good value.
This time, however, the experience was completely different. After a short while, they stopped bringing quality meat to our table, only offering cheap, high-margin items like pineapple or chicken. It wasn’t a matter of running out of food—the restaurant wasn’t busy and we could see plenty of meat going to other tables.
It became clear what was happening: once we finished our drinks and didn’t order more, we were no longer considered “good” customers. These places make their real money on drinks, and after our first round we were essentially cut off from the proper rodizio experience.
Despite repeatedly telling the waitstaff we were waiting for more steak, nothing arrived for over 30 minutes. Eventually, we decided to leave and informed the head staff that we hadn’t received food in half an hour. He didn’t care and didn’t even respond. To top it off, the waitress still asked for a tip, despite the terrible service.
If there’s an unspoken rule that you need to keep ordering drinks to get served, it should be made clear upfront. Instead, Samba Kitchen quietly punished us for not spending enough on beverages. This was incredibly disappointing, and a place I used to recommend is now one I’ll...
