Stacks Deli — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with our experience at Stacks Deli. We ordered the roast beef sub and the turkey club sandwich, and both felt underwhelming - more like a collection of store-bought ingredients than thoughtfully made deli sandwiches.

The turkey lacked any real seasoning, and overall there didn’t seem to be a signature touch or distinct flavor that made the sandwiches stand out. It felt like the ingredients were assembled without much care or creativity.

We were really hoping for something more flavorful and unique, especially from a place that positions itself as a quality deli. I also find the price quality ratio for stacks deli and diner very surprising and in need of review.

The rhubarb soda was fun (and apparently you can mix the soda flavours which is exciting) and the pecan cake was nice.

The service was great, a shoutout to employees for being very kind...

What can I say about Stacks that hasn’t already been said about the best delis across the States? Variety might be the spice of life, but I only ever order one thing here, the grilled cheese with bacon and it’s hands down the best I’ve had in my life. The pastries? Out of this world. I was never a donut guy… until this place. Just as important as the food is the service. Dien and Tas treat me like I just dropped a €20 tip every time I come in. This American couldn’t be happier to have Stacks in the neighborhood. Big shoutout to the whole crew and the owner, they really run a tight ship.

You guys! My favorite American diner now has a deli. This place just opened and serves American classics, made better. Think coffee, doughnuts, deli items, and outrageously good sandwiches. I am literally still thinking about the tomato and mayo sandwich I had last time I was there -- a perfect taste of niche Americana, and easily one of my top 5 favorite sandwiches of all time. Alongside their to-go menu they have kitchen essential like homemade hot sauces, fresh spice blends, freshly baked graham crackers, and more available for purchase.
