Vice Versa — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Vice Versa is a small but friendly bar in Amsterdam, crowded with hipsters and serving drinks that sit well with that clientele. You're not ordering a Heineken or Amstel here, but treat yourself to a nice gin&tonic or a moscow mule. These drinks have tasty twists to make them slightly different from others you've ordered before and this shows a nice touch of creativity.

Because Vice Versa is small, when entering with bigger groups you'll quickly run out of space to sit together so keep this in mind. On crowded evenings they can also be understaffed which results in waiting longer to be able to order. This can also occur because the staff makes an effort to have a nice and genuine interested conversation with you if you're up for that showing, again, the openness and creativity in the place. Sometimes, this takes a bit of time though....

"Vice Versa" is a small bar located about a fifteen minutes walk from the Museumplein. Inside the place is maintained in a low standard colorful mash up which gives You indeed a cozy experience. This vibe is intensified by atmospheric music (an interesting solution to hang a tablet with Spotify access on the wall gives the impression that customers might have an influence on the choice of music). Among the stuff You can meet an owner with his dog friendly sniffing around ;) So if You don't mind paying 5 euro for a small beer this is definitely a place to check out. What a brilliant find this was! We were visiting from London and had dinner down the road. We were looking for a nice cocktail to round out evening off and Vice Versa was close by. We got in and there were a few people inside, but rather quiet. Almost immediately the other patrons at the bar began chatting to us, with the bar tender jumping in to join the conversation too. The bar tender, who ended up being the owner, is a lovely guy originally from Israel. He had such a lovely, chilled and welcoming way about it. We ended up staying for 3 cocktails each, they were delicious and the vibe was super cool ~ perfect ending to our weekend...
