2 stars: Disappointing. False advertising
Saw this place on Instagram and came for the vibes. First, thereās only one table for the whole place and everything else belongs to the resort, so it's hard to find a place to enjoy your food. Also the cute little rope swing/seat that I saw online (posted to their page just 1 month ago) isnāt there so thereās not any real cute places to take pics. Itās not the best location either because of the resort and difficulty with parking and then having to walk to it. Location is 1.5 stars considering there are other beach shacks with more seating, easier to get to, and closer to the water.
I came here specifically because I wanted a smoothie bowl in a pineapple and a smoothie in a coconut like I had seen online. THEY DONT HAVE THEM!!! Thatās their main selling point. Just this month they have posted both items that they DO NOT HAVE on their social media. And thereās plenty of pineapple and coconut on the island, so it seems like they just donāt want to stock them. Many places on the island sell smoothies in a plain coconut, and Koko paradise has branded coconuts in the style seen on Eduardoās ig. This leads me to believe that it is a choice not to stock these bowls, maybe they figure they have enough business anyway.
On their website they also have photos of bowls in clear aesthetic bowls. They donāt have those either. Just nondescript brown. Presentation is a 0.
The bowl itself was mid. It was half peanut butter, a lot of banana on top, and a little acai, which was already soupy when we got it. Maybe a 2 or 3 star bowl, which would have been ok if the presentation was at least cute. Super super disappointing experience. I left pretty sad. I was catfished!
They need to take pineapple bowl off their online menu and off of the menu at the location. They need to write in both places that they have chosen not to serve pineapple or coconut vessels and make that clear on social media.
Bottom line: knew the food might be mid but went for vibes. Vibes were nonexistent....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter having a bad start with Eduardoās beat shack (I came here twice, first time they were closed on carnival Monday, second time I was in line with 5 other people and they shut the door and stop serving people ) I decided to give them a second or rather a third chance. This time they were open. No lineup so they served me right away. I ordered a smoothie bowl. I chose the Pitaya bowl. It cost $11 which is rather pricey but with all due fairness all smoothie bowls everywhere are really pricey. The fruit on top was a few pineapples, two pieces of mango, one strawberry five blueberries, and a whole bunch of bananas. For the price I paid I wish they wouldāve put better quality fruit instead of cheap bananas but nevertheless, it was delicious. The Pitaya smoothie part was quite cold, frozen and yummy. It was natural tasting with no added sugar. Although the frozen smoothie part was cold, the fruit on top was not cold at all. The fruit was the best part and I was looking forward to biting into delicious cold fruit so this was disappointing. They also added granola which I found really made it taste gross. The granola was more like raw oatmeal. Not your crispy sweet type of granola. The granola had dried raisins, which really spoiledthe taste of the entire smoothie bowl. There was a small seating area on the side, but I wish they actually had tables. I am happy to say that after the third time of coming here, I finally left with a smoothie bowl and I left satisfied and feeling refreshed and energized. I do recommend this place because the smoothie bowls are rather healthy delicious and refreshing. Perfect treat for a beach day! . Great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEnjoyed this place. Fresh, healthy food for bumming it out on the beach all day. I actually had a hard time finding healthy food in Aruba that allowed me to stick to my diet meal plan, but Eduardo's allowed just that. They have a large selection of things here from sweet potato patties to zoodle bowls to acai bowls. What I didn't find on the list was a regular salad (they may have had it but I didn't see it on the menu). Speaking of which, I wish that the menu was easier to read. You feel rushed when you're in line, there's alot of movement and commotion going on all around you and the menus are in different places and not easy to read. I wouldn't get the acai bowl again. The fruit was really tangy and the acai tastes nothing like it does in Hawaii or any other place that I've had it, for that matter. I had the gluten free waffle and that was good. Overall, I'll come back and keep trying...
