We recently had the pleasure of dining at On The Rocks Cafe in Aruba and were blown away by the incredible experience. Our visit was made even more memorable by Ariadna, who provided us with outstanding recommendations and exceptional service throughout our meal.
Ariadna suggested the Lobster Mac and Cheese, and it was hands down the best we've ever had. The dish was super creamy, cheesy, and the macaroni was cooked to perfection. What stood out the most was the generous amount of lobster – we literally had a piece in every bite. This dish exceeded our expectations in every way.
She also recommended a Coconut Mojito, which wasn’t on the menu, and it was an absolute delight. Extremely refreshing and delicious, it perfectly complemented our meal. Additionally, we ordered the ribs appetizer, which was equally delicious and set the tone for an extraordinary dining experience.
We have been regular visitors of On The Rocks Cafe, and since their relocation to the hotel area, we’ve noticed a significant upgrade in their menu. The revamped menu is simply exquisite, offering a variety of delectable options that cater to all tastes.
The atmosphere of the new location is great, combining a cozy ambiance with a touch of elegance. The excellent service provided by Ariadna and the rest of the staff truly enhanced our dining experience.
In conclusion, On The Rocks Cafe Aruba deserves a 10 out of 10. The superb service, fantastic atmosphere, and incredibly delicious food make it a must-visit. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you, Ariadna, for your exceptional service and wonderful...
Read moreWe came to On the Rocks the first night of our vacation based on a recommendation from my cousin who is a local. We sat inside, it was clean and the ac was cool.
We ordered the Magic Mushroom Burger, OTR Burger, Wild Child Burger, and a Saco, plus sides of patatas bravas, funchi fries, and truffle fries (since the burgers don’t come with sides). The burgers were all delicious—fresh, flavorful, and not typical frozen patties. They are a little on the smaller side, but they were very satisfying. I didn’t even get a picture of them because we were too hungry to wait!
The real standout was the Saco. It came packed with food—deep-fried ribs, chicken, plantains, potatoes, and a Johnny cake—all served with a garlicky mayo for dipping. The ribs especially were full of flavor, like they’d been marinated before frying.
The funchi fries were perfectly crispy. The patatas bravas were a favorite—the sauce was so good we ended up dipping everything in it. The only miss of the meal was the truffle fries. The truffle flavor was way too overpowering—the whole table stunk of it which grossed us out.
Price-wise, it’s decent. The burgers are around $15–16, but since they don’t come with sides, you’ll probably want to order one (most are $6+). That said, the portion sizes for the sides are generous and easily shareable between two people.
The staff was friendly and attentive, and the location is convenient. Overall, it was a great first-night meal, and I’d...
Read moreIt has not even been a half hour since we left On the Rocks Cafe.....Friday, December 13, 2019. Our bill was $103.00 afl or $99.71 USD. NO WAY THAT CONVERSION IS CORRECT. We dined with friends, separate checks. Took our waitress several attempts to correct our bill to be 2 separate checks between us (2) and our friends (2). Finally it came out correct at 103.00 fl, but mistakenly, we paid in USD. OUR Waitress never said a word. On top of that, we left her a tip even though we had to go and find her to take our order, pick up our order from the kitchen, AND bring us our bill THREE TIMES. Shame on us for not catching the mistake, but shame on On the Rocks for taking our USD and not saying we overpaid. We are an American couple living in Aruba since Jan. 2017.. Have always liked this cafe, but after being blatantly ripped off, will not be back.
Please check your drawer tonight! You should be over by at least $60.00 USD. it would be great to have a...
