My fiancé and I wanted to checkout Gaze for some LGBTQ night life in Curaçao. The island is very 🏳️‍🌈 friendly and Mario, the owner was exceptionally friendly and welcoming! This bar is a late night for the fun party goers but we were so thankful to get to know Mario and experience this fun little gem in Willemstad! I recommend a cute cocktail and catching a drag show on Friday!

Well, wat to say... Positive: is good that there is a gay bar on Curaçao. And also that the cocktails are priced resonably (18 guilders). However, I doubt that selling booze is their way of making money... I was there on a Friday evening. I arrived at a bit before 22:00 and asked whether they were open. The staff answered that they would open in 15 minutes and I could walk around town and get back there. Weird to open at 22:00 but sure. Your bar your rules. A quarter past 22 (on a friday evening!) There were 4 guests in. Of which 2 left soon left. Some people dropped by. And left again. When I left at 24:00 the guy I talked with and me were the only guests there. Of the 5 cocktails on the menue 2 were not available.

So in conclusion: I hope it is a legit bar that is genuinely trying to make money and give guests a good time. If so: open earlier in the evening. Make people feel welcome (instead of a 'burden'). Get your drinks in store. Advertise your bar. Do events. At least make something of your venue. Curaçao deserves a...

If you go to the island, this is a must for any gay person! ( and gay friendly folk!) The owners are so great, friendly and create a safe, unpretentious environment for locals and tourists alike. Small and sweet, the art on the tables and walls are great ( most done by one of the owners). You feel like you are going back to the time when bars were for finding, and creating, a gay community with no attitude! I'm not sure about value on drinks, as I was enjoying myself, and that didn't matter. But I trusted the bartenders and never felt taken advantage of, so I didn't pay close attention to value. The crowd is very mixed in a unique way ( age, type and personalities) which made for fun people watching. I feel in love with this new-er bar and hope to...

I love this place - such heart for a little gay bar in Curaçao. The owners are the nicest people and really went above and beyond to show me a great time on the island.

The cocktails are so good and very reasonably priced! I personally loved the Crazy in Love which was their own concoction (they have quite a few!)

I'd recommend to check there IG for any special nights. Thanks Mario...
