Cascada Rooftop Bar + Kitchen — Restaurant in Curaçao

The Punda Vibe’s night was an amazing experience, very good food, good people, good ambiance, an incredible experience really !

It could have gotten 5 stars except when it was bill time there was an added charge because the “hookah” guy decided to CHOOSE another flavour of hookah for us when our original flavour was done BUT forgot to physically ask the paying customer’s if it is ok to do that as it is an extra charge. We asked to speak to the manager as we told him straight up that we did not ASK for a different flavour, we asked for a coal change as i am VERY much aware that it was an additional cost to change the flavour and i had done my research by messaging this place 3 whole weeks in advance to make sure i was aware of everything that i needed to be aware of!

So very disappointing because when speaking with the manager he sided with his employee as clearly he MUST teach them that it is ok to add an additional charge to people’s bills without advising them FIRST! And he was very adamant on not doing ANYTHING about it , so ya poorly customer service in the end, watch out for this added charge when requesting hookah and your use of words as if you say “refill” it means new flavour and not “coal refill” like i thought as they specifically indicated the hookah use is for “without time limit and unlimited coal refills” and this was inquired about 3 whole weeks before this trip, mind you we were there from 6:30pm until 11pm and paid a bill of 172$ USD!

So i feel the manager should have done something about it but again , it is evident he stands by his staff in not asking the customers first, and simply adding charges to the customers bills and expecting them to pay it.

The principal is i did not ASK for a different flavour, therefore if the original flavour i had was finished i should have been ASKED if i wanted a different flavour as it is at an additional cost! Let the customer decide if they want to pay more, you cannot decide for them and expect...

Worst service of my life. Wasted 75 minutes here without getting served, except for attitude. The first 10 minutes I was just hanging around the entrance as the hostess (and all the staff) ignored me. I spotted the manager and told him I'd like to get a table if possible. He said sure, just hang out at the bar and the hostess will get me to my table in 5 minutes (and then i saw him promptly talk to the hostess pointing at me). 5 minutes turned to 20 when the hostess finally came up to me (after a couple attempts on my part to het her attention) to get me to that table. As i had plenty of time in the meantime to study the menu i told her what I'd like to have to which she said "Sure, I'll pass that on to your server." Then I'm sitting at my table for 30 minutes without getting any food/drinks or anybody coming to my table, so I wave down a waitress serving another table inquiring about my food. After a while she finally sends over another waitress, who asks me (60-65 minutes mark) what I would like, so I tell her I already discussed that long ago with the hostess and am wondering where my food is. She then finally brings the hostess to my table, who instead of being apologetic has a condescending, brash attitude from the get go and lies into my face that our converation about my order did not happen (so in a hypothetocal universe where she's right about this, it's perfectly fine that noone takes my order for over an hour).
